the door knobs and locks were really loose, got a thought to 'tighten' the screws. No help needed.

I worked full time from 6:30am until 5:30pm and took college classes online for 2 1/2 years (15 to 18 units per semester, but my last semester when I finally quit work was 26 units in one semester), putting myself through college paying cash (no loans) to become a teacher. I had to work on school work after work until 10:30pm most nights and more than half the day on Saturdays and Sundays during that time.
When I took the state educators exams (CSET & RICA) I passed them on my first attempt (only the third person to pass them on the first try in my district of over 450 teachers).
I am proud of that. I personally don't know anyone that has managed to stay as disciplined and work as hard as I did to accomplish something like that.

After doing all of that though, now I have much less sympathy and much less respect for people that are not where they want to be in life, complain about it, but take no steps to change things and expect life to just hand them stuff with no effort.

@exitseven Thanks. Now I don't want to do any school/college work at all for a while. Maybe in a year or two I will start on a Masters, but I need a break. I'm really enjoying and appreciating my vacation time off now after all of that. :)

I graduated with my BS and went right to grad school the next September. I was afraid if I didn;t keep going I would not go back.

My immense reasonability as it is simply unmatched.

If anyone comes to me with enough evidence for or against something, I'm always open to updating my map of reality. And no matter what, I'll never hold fixed views on anything. Which allows me to be highly adaptable. Hell, some could even say I'm eager to be proven wrong.

The one thing I'm proud of myself for is overcoming the abuse when I was younger. It still effects me through anxiety but compared to what I was like at 13 I've come along way! And I'm proud of the hard work I've put into just getting to where I am today! I've had support from my uncle and my little brother they've been awesome!!

Partly that I'm not mean or greedy, I try to help when I can. Sadly, most people tend to take this like I'm Casper the ghost: I just wanna be friends and help people but they go running for hills like I'm some kind of hideous beast that wants to kill them, or, like I just told them I wanted to rape their dog!!

I fixed my own bathroom sink hole recently.. boy did it smell. The new lanlord here, sucks! So, I was thinking lik every second... how, oh i will try this, ok... that didn't work long enough, a few hours. So then got another idea that time it worked! still need to figure out how to make the ac to actually stop doing what it. is. doing. the only way it actually turns on.. sometimes... is if i band the thermostat... other times turning on the fan on thermostat for about an hour, turn that off and then set it to my tempature to see if it will turn on, most tim es it doesn't but, it works sometimes.

I gradualted from college. I struggled the whole time and dropped out twice because I ran out of money but I finally did it. It took for ever.

Injured my back when I was 24 so I’m proud that it wasn’t way more serious than it already was, passed out/fainted from dehydration. Hope it never happens again
