What’s something you’re proud of regarding yourself?

Cmon as humans we all kind of like to brag and flex every once in a while, what’s something that you’re proud of? Could be anything - a physical attribute or some sort of accomplishment. Could be small or big. Brag idc lol

I like to be humble but hey what the heck, I’m proud that I got a pretty decent gpa in my first year of university (when I started at the age of 17) as a chemistry major. I wanna die internally because it was rough but I’m glad it’s summer now. I’m also kinda proud that I grow no hair on my legs like it’s a blessing I don’t have to shave every week.

Well, number one would be that I’ve been loyal to my family and my lady through times of hardship. I probably seem like a real fuckabout most of the time, just on my Peter Pan bullshit, lmao, but when it hits the fan and someone has to step up and handle whatever the situation is, I feel I’ve done that. That probably isn’t very interesting, haha, but when comes down to it, I’d say that’s what I’m most proud of.

I’m proud that I still look relatively good at 43, haha. Most people think I’m much younger, and I’m at 6.5% body fat right now, best shape of my life. I have all my hair, and A LOT OF IT, lmao, and it’s still all blonde and not graying yet.

I’m very proud of my athletic accomplishments. I played on some real stinkers as a young football player, and aside from winning our league on my sophomore football team in high school (just had the best record, there was no playoffs or championship game or anything), the rest of high school football was mediocre. I always dreamed of more glory, but we never got too close. I tried out for a semipro football team in my 20s, and I played for I think eight years. My first year I actually made the League All-Star Team (just had good stats, I was playing on offense that season, the QB liked me and looked for me a lot, especially for short touchdowns…I’m not a game breaker by any stretch of the imagination😂 But I got a cool jersey out of the deal, it’s the one in my profile pic) The last three years were insane, as a team. We won the league championship at the second highest level and went undefeated at 13-0. They moved us up to the top division the next year, we went 13-0 again, league champs, AND we went to Florida to play for the National Championship, and we WON!🏆 And believe it or not, we did the exact same thing the next year, and my ass retired ON THE SPOT, I knew I’d never get higher than that moment😂 My first ever Pop Warner football game, age 9, we lost 20-0, followed by many more 20/30/40-0 losses, we lost almost every game every year, and we only scored once that entire first season…. my last game as an adult, I went out a thrice undefeated, back-to-back-to-back league champion, back-to-back NATIONAL CHAMPION, and it was largely carried by the defense I was a part of, we were the #1 ranked defense in the league. “The Goon Squad”, goddamn, I miss my Goonies🦍🦍🦍 But yeah, I mean…. for a regular guy not playing in the pros, that’s as storybook of an ending as you could reasonably hope for. Should’ve enjoyed the win a little more, but I was busy sobbing over the reality of never playing again🤦‍♂️😂 Very proud of what we were able to get done with those teams though🏆🏆🏆

And nowadays, ten years or so later, I’m very proud that I’ve started a new athletic journey with ice hockey. I moved home to take care of my dad after my mom died, I was reminded of what a hockey-crazy area this is, and there are rinks in almost every town, it seems, or every few towns, anyway. I have one five minutes from my house. I never got to play as a kid, always wanted to, but my parents said we couldn’t afford it and didn’t have the time required to commit. I was driving by the rink and decided to see if they had any sort of resource for adult beginners, and I found a learn-to-play class. Bought some gear, got started, and now, a year later, I’m playing in a men’s league. I’m not that good yet, but I got in a fight and won, so that was awesome😂

What’s something you’re proud of regarding yourself?

On W 18 JUN 1980, I was a junior in high school on Long Island New York took two NYS Regents Final Exams. The morning exam was "Math 11" which, at that time, was trigonometry. The afternoon exam was Physics. In most school districts in New York State, Physics is taken by high school seniors, but, in my district, it was juniors who took it with chemistry being the senior science class. I'm proud of the fact that I stick up for people who are being hurt, even if it means placing myself in harms way.

I'm also proud of the fact that people trust me fairly easily. People I barely know confide in me, and when people are hurting they tend to gravitate toward me. Because they know who I am, and they know that I won't turn them away.

I'm proud of the fact that people don't gossip around me, because they know that my immediate response will be to say all the nice things that the person they're gossiping about has done. They continue to invite me to things and hang out with me, but they don't gossip about people in front of me, because they know that I won't participate in it.

In another vein, I'm proud of what I do at work. I feel like I'm helping people. I'm also proud of the things I've overcome in life. I won't go into detail on a public post, but I had to work through a lot of stuff to get to where I am today. And I managed to pull myself up without putting anyone else down.

I'm talented, rich, and stunningly attractive. Very tall too. Not flabby, but I do have a big ass. I often have conversations with myself, simply because they're the most interesting ones I could possibly ever have, and when I was in college I would often have to correct the teacher when he or she was up there disseminating his or her (ahem) "wisdom". The other students would come to ME for help and advice, not any of the teachers, because they knew I was smarter than all of them put together, and that wasn't difficult to be really.
I think for myself, don't take crap from anyone, and anyone who hates me is just either insecure or a precious snowflake who can't handle the truth, because the truth is what I care about, not delusional lies meant to make us feel better about ourselves in a universe that cares nought for anything we may possibly dream up.

I’m proud of my charm, I got rid of two bullies by telling jokes and also got free food at a restaurant by telling jokes and I got a PhD guy to go on a date with me on new years in 2013 by telling jokes, cause he had no interest in me whatsoever when he first met me but then decided I was the funniest person he had ever met in his entire life. I turned him down for future dates cause he made fun of me for not being as smart as him.

@InsertNameHerex well since you ask lol I'm proud that I have maintained a total body fat rate of 8% 1 or -1 for 4 straight years now. Tough to do at 6'4" and 275 lbs. Also there is a really big plus too, but will not speak of it here in the open setting lol, and that's awesome for you about your gpa and the hairless legs.. sounds perfect

I know a lot about a great many subjects. I've always been a bit sickly, and much of that down time has been spent reading non fiction on a plethora of subjects.
