Despite always been reserved and shy, I'm proud that I made the choice to move abroad when I was 18, and I've thrived ever since.
333 opinions shared on Other topic. I have accomplished a lot of things in my life. But most recently I am most proud of myself from getting out of a toxic situation and refusing to be emotionally abused and manipulated. This was big set for me. It was tough because I cared about the person but given my previous relationships, I refused to accept their behavior and I immediately got out of the situation.
In the past I accepted other people behaviors and falsely assumed I was being the better person. When in reality I was encouraging their behavior at my own expense and used that to control and take advantage. I refuse to accept that any more from anyone. So, I am super proud of myself for putting myself first in this situation and ensuring I did what I needed to do to protect my own state of mind.21 Reply- +1 y
Good man. I have seen what can happen in similar situations. My brother-in-law married a "professional manipulator". ( He was husband number two.) Last I heard, she was busy working over number four. Left a train of battered beaus in her wake. I hope there's a special place in hell for people like her.

+1 yAdaptability and a willingness to bet on myself when no one else would. I’ve done a lot for someone my age from working abroad in a handful of countries around the world, to military service, to buying a condo and trying to work on creating a life. I’ve always been willing to take that leap of faith and work hard to not land flat on face. It’s given me insights into life that I wouldn’t have had otherwise and made me more successful. I’m proud of that, cause making something work when you don’t got much to work with isn’t always easy. But I’ve always been the type to find a way through the wall. If nothing else I’ve got that.

2. Giving birth to our two most precious children.
3. Having the house I always dreamt of (my husband is an architect, so designed and had it built).
4. Having a most successful and satisfying career.

I'm proud of myself for all the hard work I've put in to get my dream job at the age of only 23 and being one of only a few females in the job. I give credit to my parents for encouraging me to strive to achieve my goals in life, and I continue to do that.

20 Reply I'm proud of being a man of my word, if i said I'm gonna do something in a period of time, I'll do it however the situation, and i really can keep secrets and these secrets will be buried with me, i like to be always on time, try to not take other's opportunities if i don't really need it, i don't feel jealous or envy from other's success, and if i felt, it pushes me to improve myself, i can adapt to the circumstances around me, and after all of this, sometimes i feel down and i can't recognize myself.

Anonymous(30-35)+1 yI kept fighting and I have never quit. The price for getting what I wanted? Claiming my own autonomy and move where I felt I belong to? It is extraordinarily high and most people would not go through such lengths as I did. The sacrifices I've done *just* to get me my basic human rights.
That's why I am single, 28, living alone in an apartment in a big city in Germany and making my own money. "Family" doesn't need to know.

+1 yI’m proud of the fact that even though I’ve been through hell my whole life I have turned out somewhat ok, I’m caring and really smart I can adapt to any situation and I can survive on my own and I don’t need anyone. I am also proving so many people wrong and I love it.

+1 yLess about what I’ve done rather than what I haven’t done, if that makes sense. I’m proud of my Christian religion, but don’t feel like I’ve done much else with my life aside from avoiding mistakes. Most of the good in my life either is or feels like good luck rather than good effort.

I told my kids recently (now that they are older and understand) that I failed math in HS (even though I am Chinese and supposed to be good at math smh). I had to go to summer school. They had such good laugh and have something funny to tell their friends. Am I proud? No. But I can’t lie to them that I can’t help them with their HS math.
I don’t think either can be considered failure. - +1 y
