What did Jesus’ ‘many are called, few are chosen’ mean in real life?

Jesus says that many are called but few are chosen and I believe this means, many associate with religious ideas, but few understand or believe religious ideas, not at the abstract level, but at the detailed, truth by truth foundational level.

Like I have met Christians who believe that Donald Trump is godly.

If you do not understand that Trump is an enemy of God, then you are so ignorant about the bible, and about God, that a proud atheist who has spent 30 years in jail, is closer to Jesus than you are.

And God will torture those who support Trump in hell forever and ever, because they voted for the torture and killing of hard working ethnic citizens, which also what the hell bound nazis did in support of Hitler in World War II.

The bible says the one who supports and protects an abuser receives the same punishment as the one who abuses others.

Some passages suggest that the one who protects the abuser receives double, triple or even seven times or twelve times the punishment as the one who does the abusing.
