Honestly I hate being proud of myself because I feel like if I feel accomplished that it makes me sound egotistical but a friend at work pointed out a few things to me recently that I should be proud of and I'm trying to accept that it's okay to feel proud.
• I've lost 40kgs (88 pounds)
• I graduated high school in the top 20% in my state for one particular subject despite couch surfing and at risk of homelessness during the second half of my final year of high school
• I was the first girl in my entire family to get accepted in to university (though I dropped out for health reasons)
• I work 2 jobs
• I saved my mother's life when I was 11 by driving her car to the hospital with her in it when she collapsed at the wheel once. Couldn't drive for shit but what else was I gonna do and drs said my response and actions got her to medical care in time.
• I struggle severely with mental health but I'm still here and alive.

My decision to stop self medicating with drugs & alcohol and deal with my shit to make something out of myself and my life.
It took a long time and at times I relapsed for periods but that decision is the reason for all my achievements the past 10 years. - 7 of those without drugs & VERY occasionally glass of wine.
Not becoming a criminal, misogynist, or a psychopath. With my background and childhood, it seemed like a statistical likelihood I'd be either or all of those things. But I never became a bad person despite the things done to me.
As far as tangible goals, I'm proud of having left the US prior to COVID and the BLM riots. Chances are very high I would've shot/killed MANY BLM rioters in 2020 had they come to my neighborhood. I'm glad I missed all of that; I left for Korea in November 2019. COVID broke out in China in December 2019 and globally in March 2020.
i once stopped a trolly with a baby from rolling onto the road and being run over.
though i think my mom was more proud than me 😅
