Are they people that don’t know most temperatures are measured inside a Stevenson screen or Cotton Region Shelter (CRS)
Did they measure like that in 1800s?
Yes and they still do today
I put liquid thermometer in the shade in summer and I measure like that.
Street thermometers take the sun under sun and they show high values.
They made a news about a city here because street thermometer was showing 61°C under the sun.
It’s easy to make a Stevenson screen
I'll ask you a question about my measuring weather in winter.
When I put thermometer outside the window from the building, it showed -28°C.
When I put the thermometer on a metal surface outiside, it showed -30°C.
When I measured with the thermometer in my hand outside, it showed -29°C.
Why were these 1°C changes?
And which one is the temperature?
Be careful that these numbers are minus in winter.
There is no sun, by the way
Physics
What do you mean?
On metal surface, does it show colder than air temperature?
Metal can't get colder than the air.
You didn't explain the reason of 1°C changes in 3 conditions.
I did if you understand physics, thermodynamics etc it’s fairly simple
Saying physlcs is not explaining?
Which one is true?
The middle one?
It is, what happens if the wind is blowing from the north and it’s at 30kts
There was no wind.
Which is the true one then?
The one I measured with thermometer in my hand. It showed in between then.
Do you not understand about wind
-28°C, -29°C and -30°C
-29°C is in between.
There was no wind at all. So there is no wind factor.
It is zero wind
Oh, I am sure most people don't know that.
