Life flows strangely sometimes. Suddenly, we feel an emptiness inside. A lack, a feeling we couldn't understand... For me, the only way to fill that gap was to hug. Hugging is not only bringing bodies together, but also bringing souls together. A hug shatters loneliness and melts the ice within us. Hugging picks up our broken pieces and makes us whole again. A hug is the purest form of love and acceptance. That hug makes us feel like someone accepts us as we are. What we need is not just physical contact, but also a spiritual connection. When we need a hug, we are actually looking for the presence of another person. We want someone to wrap their arms around us and take the weight of the world off our shoulders. That hug gathers us, re-strengthens us, and helps us overcome the challenges ahead. Hugging is like emotional therapy. That moment goes beyond words and expresses a deep understanding. In silence, love and support are shared. All we need is a hug and an understanding that will relieve the loneliness within us. Maybe these are the moments when we find ourselves when we need a hug. That embrace reminds us that we are not alone. It reminds us that we are there for each other and that we can get through anything together. And this knowledge strengthens us and moves us forward.

+1 ySometimes if I'm having the worst day and I can't cheer myself up so well. Then I tell my wife, "Need huggie!" like a baby. Then she's like, "Okay," and lies down and I give her a huggie. 😅 I'm always the big spoon though. Being little spoon makes me feel weird.

Also, "Huggie time!" That's usually when I'm not feeling too bad and just think it's time for a hug. "Need huggie!" means I'm desperate.

It's actually an ancient martial technique according to some philosophers and used by some of the greatest arts masters that ever lived.
+1 ysometimes they just know, and sometimes I just come closer and hug them... and then they know... I don't require reading my mind... I can ask or show if I need something...

@_Maya_ when I wake her up I say "Little Duck... it's time to get up. Duck Daddy Daughter time!" and she'll roll on her side and throw her little front lets up I'll put my face in her belly and she'll grab my temples and just quack away.
She was orphaned by her mom as a farm cat. I think the really bonded with the ducks.
u +1 y@BoopBoopBeep I don't have my contacts in so at first glance that did not read duck and I was worried.

@_Maya_ hahah when she came to the house she waddled and quacked... her name is actually Lilo but when she bonded to me and followed me around because everything was scary... including a really fat cardinal that comes to eat here, apparently, because she fell out of a window when he landed. Anyway, if she got scared and was across the room she'd runwaddle over to me quacking the whole way and hide behind my legs, and I'd say come on Little Duck you don't have to be scared here... and the nickname kind or stuck
so very different than what you read :P
u +1 y@BoopBoopBeep that's like the cutest thing I'm going to read today. @strawberrypancake needs to see this! 💜

u +1 y@BoopBoopBeep looks like yhr hugs have been distributed. I don't even know how to break the news.

@_Maya_ Haha I read that as my hugs have been "disturbed"... i was like... piu... as in they have been troubled or they were accused of being troubling? My hugs shall not be slandered! Then I turned the brightness up on my screen. Now it is too bright for Little Duck and I have to try to convince her to come back to bed. It's complicated. I have more hugs on backorder. In an emergency I can make more in house on the CNC router.
Anonymous(25-29)+1 yI understand the need for comfort and companionship. Sometimes, simply having someone there to offer support without saying anything can make a big difference.
