I mean alligators aren’t super aggressive. Why were they camping so close to the water. Did they not do any research into the terrain they were camping and local wildlife/patterns?


But I would keep calm, find an exit and make my way to my vehicle for the night

Cold blooded. Night time is cold they can barely move at all. The reason crocs and alligators put themselves in shallow water or on open space is because as they cool down they lose motor control they will remain in that position until the sun has risen and warmed them up to a sufficient degree
