Embrace the changes, adapt and change the course if everything's steering into a direction that you don't want. Don't be afraid to do so. The worst thing you can do is to spend your life with the wrong choices when it comes to your career, partner and social circles. Don't force yourself into situations that won't make you happy in the long run. Don't force yourself to get stuck with the wrong job or people. Don't get big student loan debt if you can avoid it, and especially avoid debt that would take more than a year to pay off with your salary. This is especially important if you want single income parenting, single incomes can't carry both your student loan debt and a mortgage. There are often cheaper studies with well paid jobs. There are way to many of the generation ahead of you stuck with a meaningless job because their degree wasn't valuable in the real world and so much debt they can't ever pay it off.
