They earn double the average white American.
My guess is it probably has something to do with cultural values.
Some cultures value material possessions, goods, displays of wealth, power, &c. Other cultures value other things. Some examples of things various cultures value:
Nature, connection to nature, harmony, family bonds, bonds to ancestors, bonds to future generations, honor, pride, military strength, machismo, sexual prowess, fertility, musical ability, physical strength, feats of physical ability, intelligence, artistic expression, creative expression, humility, respect, introspection/self-awareness, culinary skill, animal husbandry, and many more.
So back to your question, I would guess Indian-Americans are coming from some cultural conditions that causes them to have a stronger drive to acquire higher education and income. There could also be some other factors. For example, it might be true that a large percentage of Indian-Americans come from wealthy families in India that could afford to send their children to America to get educated and land high-paying jobs. Starting off with those resources at their disposal would increase the statistics you have posted.

Your top 5 groups don't surprise me because family and community bonds are immensely important to them. It's much easier to succeed as groups supporting each other, than individuals fighting against each other.
It's one reason whites are falling off the chart. We don't have communities, support each other, or hold our family groups tight anymore. We are the most self-loathing race, and least reproducing up there with the koreans and japanese
lol i thought you mean the indians in actual india. not the indians in america. obviously the indians in india are earning way less. india is also way less cost of living than america. that is why we outsource. now for the indians in america, it's likely because of tech and medicine.
I’m honestly not surprised. There’s a huge emphasis on family bonds, community support and push for formal education and greater job security for those communities.

Add the Indians from India into your calculation and your perception will change... America recruits talent from all over the world via H-1B visas. The average H-1B visa recipient earns $108K a year. This is because they are recruited to work in STEM fields and generally have graduate degrees in a desired field. India has 1.4 billion people. Each year only a couple hundred thousand people are able to hold a H-1B visa. Most of the recipients come from India, China, and Canada. America drains those countries top talent away from their home country to live, work, and study in the USA rather than investing in those countries. It's simple really. America is a brain drain on the world. The best of each nation want to join the critical mass of the world and work with other smart people in the USA rather than stay in the third world.
It's not easy to educate from India to the US. It takes talent and drive to get to the US frim India. The Indiana who succeed are a a select group unrepresentative of the general population of India. The usual immigration path is through graduate school.
I wonder how they compare to Jewish Americans.Having worked with a LOT of Indians over the last six years, it doesn't surprise me at all. They are very hard working and dedicated, they don't have the cultural problems most groups in America have fallen prey to, and they don't make the ridiculous excuses many Americans make.
It all comes down to culture, and the groups in the lower levels of that graphic are exactly the ones I would expect to be below average based on 1) the self-inflicted problems within their respective cultures, 2) the prevalence of victim mentality in their respective cultures, 3) the general sense of entitlement and propensity to blame others for their failures, and 4) the degree to which the Democrat party has weaponized the "victimization" of the groups to advance their political power.
The most capable get gigs outside of India and there is motivation. Probably a 6:1 ratio between what they can earn outside India to what they can earn in India.
They inherited a good education system from Britain.
You would probably find a large percentage of Indians are working in IT where the reported income would be normal.
They are super achievers but don’t forget we are getting the best of the best from those countries that come here legally, I think the numbers are old because it should be much higher for everyone, I’m an American born here and make the top number
I means the answer is in your stastic? Right next to it is a box that says around 70% of indians have a bachelor degree at least. Ofc they earn more then duh.
I am guessing maths and statistics are not really your strong point.
Willing to work and educated in proper stuff not liberal arts degrees
Unlike the people crossing the Southern border, India and these other countries literally send only their best and brightest. We aren't importing illiterate slumdogs from India.
Indians are quiet academic so it doesn't surprise me.
It is probably their IQs. Perhaps only the smarter Indians have become US citizens.
US Citizenship requires only a very specific of qualifications. This is why it's skewed.
They work harder than most same with all the others at the top of that list
because of their socio cultural habitus. it's the same reason jews and japanese are so well off financially on a societal level.
Shi-yat, they're smart mfers.
I have an Indian friend. He speaks like 6 or 7 languages. Owns a motel.
Solid family support, decent education opportunities, social professional connections.
Well, the answer is in the picture, surely? A larger proportion with higher education.
because family is a major part in their life, they also have seen a lot of partiality and bias in their lives. so when they go abroad on their own money.. majorly debt... away from their loved ones, they try to make the best out of it
Because White people have lost their drive and self-respect
The Indians who come to the US are the wealthiest and most intelligent India has to offer.
