My question is mainly for girls, but men can express their opinion

Let's say you fell in love with a man, but later found out that he was a manipulative narcissist, and you started drifting away from him. Later, this person took revenge on you by hitting you using your weak side when you were in a vulnerable depression

What would you do?

Be extreemly careful. It's way too easy to pidgeonhole people, especially if they hurt us.

I know my ex girlfriend would always claim I was 'using her weaknesses against her'; At first I would feel horrified, try to see how she saw it and try to make it right (and at first we got closer for it). Over time, I came to understand it didn't matter because it was never about how I was being but about how she felt about things (and how she saw me). I came to learn that her saying "I hate you" was "I love you" because she never would say "I love you", she only "hated me" (and we devolved into a cycle of arguments an make up sex). Though, I know she did and does still love me (not to be confused with being in love with me), we are now very distant friends. We still catch up now and then, get along and also get along well with her now boyfriend (and I am SO glad he's dealing with that stuff not me lol. Though I think he still dislikes how easily we will decent into a blazing row even now as just friends).

Anyway, my point is:

What would I do? be careful around them and limit my time with them. Check myself to see if it was something I was causing, then once I'd tried everything to not cause it, see clearly the other person for what they where.

What was your first reaction? Believing her and thinking it was me, before realising that through her eyes I was a horror, and that I prefered the company of a woman that saw the real me, which wasn't "hateable".

How did you pay? Not sure how to opinion here. I wouldn't do anything to them, I think its very wrong to take any kind of revenge or repaying. Though maybe "How did you pay?" is just an expression I don't understand.

go to court or something, defend myself by using the laws , ur human u shouldn't be hit for "drifting awway" , I would just break up , and face my fears
