Crows have small brains so how can they remember who was nice to them?

Ok folks, this is the 3rd time crows come visit me ever since feeding them and letting one stand on my arm.

Meanwhile my friend doesn't like them and she tried chasing them away once. They ended up pooping on her car. We tried exchanging each others' clothes. She wore my hat and lipstick and I ended up dressing like her. It didn't work. They still treated us differently. I was impressed they still recognized me. They hate her back, lol.

Crows and other birds have small brains. So how do they remember who was nice to them?

that is a misnomer (sp) that brain size equates to intelligence, memory, or wisdom. plenty of big brained creatures (including humans) have shown to be as lack-luster in those areas as to make an ameba look better and inversely, there are plenty of small brained creatures that show high levels of at least one if not 2 or even all 3 traits. crows being one, also can do some voice mimicing, parrots, there are fish who can remember people, mice and rats can be trained to do some tasks repeatedly. just a few examples.

They're actually incredibly intelligent not only do they remember peoples kindness but they also remember when they're mean to them and have been known to have generational grudges against people.

They're also adapt at solving puzzles and can even learn to talk.

They're quire interesting birds.

They work differently. Ours are enormous, and have associative areas. Bird brains don't operate the same way.
