I have two cats. I'm not sure what kind they are. 😅 They came from the streets.

We really didn't plan to keep them as pets but my wife and I grew attached to them feeding them outside our home. Then both of them became sick/injured to the point where we had to rush them to the vet and after that, we just ended up keeping them in our home.

The first one we call "Mi-chan". Actually the neighbor started calling her that because she has a funny "meow" sound that sounds more like "mii" than "meow". I actually shocked my neighbors and wife since she used to avoid getting closer than 10m to the point where we'd have to put food out and walk away while she very cautiously ate it, always to run away if we stepped even one step in her direction.

Yet I spent a lot of time lying down and coaxing her to come closer and closer until I reached this point:

Unfortunately she suffered a serious injury one day. I found her dragging her rear legs with her front legs screaming and I panicked and thought she was hit by a car, so I rushed her to the vet and the vet determined that she had a hip fracture from falling from a high place (she liked to climb trees and fences and must have fallen from high up). After that, I brought her home and my wife and I both agreed that she's safer staying in the house with us. Unfortunately she's a feisty cat and tore up so much of our furniture. Oh well, we love her anyway. 😅

The second we call "macho" since she's the toughest cat and scares away even the male cats.

We started feeding her as well but she had a tendency to chew on dry food and scream and yelp while chewing it, so we started giving her wet food instead.

Yet her condition started deteriorating to the point where she couldn't even lick wet food without screaming and running away. So like with Mi-Chan, we rushed her to the vet and discovered she has a condition called Feline Stomatisis.

We had some of her teeth extracted and got her shots regularly and she became so much better. In the photo above, she already gained a lot of weight but originally she was only around 1.5kg (now 4kg). Since she was so small, we thought she was a kitten but the vet examined her including her teeth and estimated she must be at least 10 years old. We were so shocked since we were sure she was a kitten.

We ended up keeping her the same way as Mi-Chan so now we have Macho and Mi-Chan. I'm working on a theme song for her as well but it's still a WIP.
