Had a Boston Terrier. Lost her to Cushing's Disease.

Intelligent. Devoted, protective. Relatively easily trained: she already knew 7-8 basic commands when we got her at about 11 months old.

    Well-dressed (always wears a "tux"). :- )

    Inquisitive, fun breed.

But, brachycephalic (short-nosed) dogs can have breathing issues. And that fact didn't help the Cushing's either.

We think she was mistreated at some point in her life. (We were her third owner. ) Sometimes it would take her longer to "warm up" to people who were too pushy'er aggressive with her.

(My maternal grandparents had three Bostons, sequentially. My parents had a Boston. We had a Carin Terrier and a mixed breed before the Boston, our third dog.)

    Boston Terrier.
    Boston Terrier.

      Omg...
I have a 9 month old boston he's chocolate in colour.
He is so friendly and super energetic...
Atm getting a bit sassy as he doesn't like me putting him in his bed and he hates me leaving a room to go to the front door without him.
But I love this boy so much. Doggy school tomorrow...

I'm so sorry to hear about your little one, it's devastating...
Can see how regal and charming she was...
      Gorgeous... X

Oh- you are going to have your hands full, but will have a lot of fun as well. They will be "sassy" in an effort to push their limits, just like a three-year-old human child! CONSISTENCY in how you react is critical. You don't have to physically put him in bed, but he must learn that there is a bedTIME. It's a compliment- he misses you and wants to stay a "part of your life". But, he hasn't been your pet long enough to realize that even though you must shop, see the doc for exams, sleep in another room, he will see you when you come back from the store, doc, or other room. My parents' Boston was much more apprehensive when people would leave. Oh, my: she would whine, jump on the gate in the kitchen, whine, scrape at the floor, spin around like a loonie, did I mention whine? ;- ) Our Boston was more tolerant: we were her 3rd owners within 1.5 years, & the first "stable" home she had. She had her cage in a room. Her cage was HER domain: only SHE could touch it. (Of course if we had a snack in the adjacent TV room, she would lose interest in her cage really quickly and look for the food!) We would leave for, maybe, 10 minutes, and come back. Next week, we would leave her for 20 minutes at a time & come back. We kept making the away time longer and longer, but we came back each time. We created that pattern with her, so she would just relax if we left for shopping, work, etc. He "hates" you for leaving because he REALLY LIKES YOU and want to BE with you. Just be consistent! Our Boston took until about 3.5- 4 years old before she really caught onto "the way of life" since she had been shuffled so much earlier in her life. Good luck with doggie school. If you get him to "heel" within three sessions, you have a quick learner! And, stock up on treats! Pic above was when she was 4-5 years old.

The most important thing is to be consistent. Don't be really strict one day and let the pup get away with stuff the next day. And be lavish with your praise. Positive reinforcement for any little bit of improvement!

Amazing I will definitely do so...
My baby voice is so rubbish... So I'm working on that...
I've also been told to feed him from my hand and use the dry food as his reward for good behaviour throughout the day...
I have now got him sat on the matt beside me, getting scratches after having 23g of his breakfast...

I have a four year old cat, I didn't pick her... she picked me

well, she was a rescue that was lost during a storm, ended up at my yard... had her and just her for three years till this recent year, and when I decided to keep two of her kittens (11 and 6 months old)

so now there's three cats at my place... lol

and yes, they're all amazing, as amazing as only cats can be...

Awwww that's so sweet. When I went to pick a puppy Bruno was stuck to me like glue.
He was so excited he did wee a little...
But he kept licking my hand/arm, until he just sat at my feet waiting for some scratches.

Yes, a couple of Dobermanns. Unlike what people think, they are extremely sweet and friendly, although the male one can be shy with people he doesn't know.

My wife has the phobia of dogs, so I keep them in a separate, fenced property where they have a shelter and lots of space to run and play around; and I visit them every day.

A year back two 1-month-old puppy dogs were placed in my front yard and I was asked to look after them for an hour or so.

We fell in love with each other.

They are ''Bangkeow'' mixes (mid size, 'Spitz'-related)

I used to have two cats. We got them at the shelter. One of them was found under a parked car in the supermarket across the street from the animal shelter. I sort of identified with him.

I have a pet mosquito. I didn't choose to have that pet. But it chose to stay in my room, annoy me when I'm trying to sleep with it's noise, just to be nowhere to be seen once i turn on the lights. Also she feeds on my blood regularly. I know because those red itchy bumps i get. Also not my choice but not much i can do. But on the bright side, she's going well.

Yeap. Dogs like that are only violent if there's something wrong with their brains or bodies, they're mistreated or they're not trained well enough. I've had 3 so far and the only person they full on attacked, was a home invader.

If they can handle a rambunctious pug, biting and pulling at their ears and legs, then your kids going to be fine.
