Are you more street smart or book smart?

Im more street smart. I have a rough background which made me smarter in some areas. But both are needed in their own way.

I think I'm more book smart but I think I'm alright with street smarts too it's enough to get by anyway. I had an encounter in India when a guy on a motorcycle tried to intimidate me and my girlfriend out of nowhere. It was new years eve and she told me it's the most dangerous night of the year. We were walking to our hotel and a guy who was driving on the other side of the road crossed over both lanes turned off his light and drove right at me. He came to a stop 1 mm in front of me. I was ready to pivot out of the way but I saw him break and I felt he would stop in time so I just stood there in front of him and didn't move or flinch. And then we just walked away. I probably should have punched him but I was in a foreign country and my girlfriend told me these guys often get more people and hunt you down if you fuck with them so I decided against giving him the beating he deserved.

I think I'm good in situations where there's real danger and the adrenaline kicks in but when it's just haggling, social stuff people trying to trick you it's more exhausting for me to deal with these things so I lose my patience. Where I live haggling is rare so I haven't developed the skills for it and I don't have the mindset to get good at it now either.

New years eve is supr dangerous in India when it comes to rape and sexual assault apparently so if I wasn't there I think he would have attacked my girlfriend, so he wanted to see if he could intimidate me to go away so he could attack her.

More book smart but i have got more politically smart recently. I'm not sure if that is street smart or if there is book smart, street smart and politically smart plus maybe other kinds of smart

More street smart. I like being street smart. I never like school and good thing 1/2 of the time I wasn’t paying attention in school…that would made me a follower…

The irony … I am kinda still stuck in school for 4 more years.
