I'm losing significant my desire to talk and have conversations with people. What might be causing that in me you think?

5 days ago, I had about a 1 hour conversation with a new co-worker. I was surprised I even talked that long with her not work related.

I talked with my uncle the other day for about a hour.

And today, as I was taking my brother's girlfriend home I didn't feel like saying nothing nor desire to have a conversation in the car but felt force to say something because the silence was getting a bit awkward.

are you saying that you used to talk to people... but you're becoming uninterested and now you wish you didn't have to talk with people?

or... are you saying you disliked to talk to people in general, but now you feel like talking with people and this weirds you out?

how do you think depression feels or looks like?

I feel fine and don't feel sad.

it is not that simple... I meant to say, it is way way more complicated

and... losing the will to connect and talk with people, is one of the more clear sign about it

but... it could be something else too, a hormonal thing, have you been taking any medication or stopped any medication?

let's go through a list... of possibles

- medications
- other health issues
- something bad at work, with family, or friends
- feeling down about short, medium, long term projects
- loss
- anxiety, stress, concerns about possible outcomes
- any sort of pressure or frustration about expectations from yourself or others
- changes in diet or other habits, like sleeping

many of these things experienced recently or even days ago... could be having an effect, or even a delayed effect right now

I think its age. As I kid I was very extroverted. Now is the opposite. 🫤

Its probably because its your brother's girlfriend that you felt that way. I would feel awkward if its someone close to someone I'm close to and the only common interest is the friend or relative

No. She's very cool and we get along great. It doesn't matter who it is. I just don't feel like talking except if it's kinda forced.

Its because you dont have anything in your life that is interesting to share. Your becoming boring, do more interesting and do more interesting things with people. Its not that the others are boring, most likely your becoming boring.

I guess I like becoming boring which to me feels peaceful and enjoyable.

That is nice in its own way, but you dont seem entirely content with an aspect of yourself. Peaceful and Enjoyable and do something interesting. Just get that third thing.
