Do you hang dry your clothes?

I know in the USA this is a pretty foreign concept, infact from what I've been told it goes against rules in some neighbourhoods.

It feels pointless in the colder months to do this. I've had some clothes out on the line for about 5 hrs now. I'm sure they will still be damp so I will air them in the dryer a little. But it still saves on some money, I hope at least 🤣

I have an outdoor clothes line that I use during the spring, summer and fall and an indoor line that I hang things in the winter. The heat from the furnace during the winter dries things out and I just run it in the drier the next day to fluff things up. Similarly, I bring things in from outside and run it in the drier for 15-20 minutes to fluff things up. It saves on drying time.

We dry clothes in a dryer. There's really no place to hang dry clothes, and our HOA would fine us if we started doing it.

When I was growing up, my mother always hung-dry our clothes. My father and I installed a rope pulley system that ran from our back porch to a tree about 50 feet away. My mother loved it... it made drying the clothes so much easier.

I do, it's normal in Europe even on colder days... you just need to move them inside, and if they are still damp, leave them hanging inside for a night

I don't have a dryer at home, we have a laundry room in the underground of the building I live in and I use dryer only on winter and only for bed sheets and stuff... the rest dries on the balcony and finishes at home if needed

Ah America where you can carry a machine gun in public but it's illegal to hang clothes in your garden.

We hang outside on a line in summer here in the UK and many houses have a heated drying cupboard to hang clothes in. In wet weather we use a drier to take the thick off then hang up to dry indoors.

some I put in the dryer to dry, some I will partially dry in the dryer, and some I hang up right out of the washer.
We have a ceiling fan in our laundry room, so it works really well to speed up the drying process.

yes... and here in Texas is dry in less than 10 minutes, lol

I don't hang them outside because I don't have a clothes line. My mom used to when i was growing up. It does save a lot of energy. I always worry about birds pooping on the clothes!

Yes ofc! In Indian weather conditions we don't need washing machine dryer to dry clothes. We just hang them out in the Sun light for few hours. That's it !

You mean tumble dried? Air dry and hang dry are the same thing

Oh yes. Brain fart, lol. Certain materials shrink in the dryer so I hang them up. But for the most part I tumble dry everything.
