Why isn't left right and right left?

What makes it right and what makes it left?

Was it out of biasness that one day someone just liked one side better and called it the right side and they called the other left cause they didn't care so they just left it like that 🤔

Historically political left and right were just the position relative to the King in the center.

And right, conservatives wanted to keep the monarch, while left the progressive wanted to get rid of monarchy.

Its nothing more than that.

Just pro and contra King and the place they were sitting at.

I don't remember the details, but I know it started in France. I think it was because opposing groups were physically separated on the left and right.

Yea, it caught on. But I don't know if left and right means the same thing now as it did then.

In the US, left means liberal and right means conservative. But liberal and conservative are VERY different now than they were only 50 years ago. It's changed quite a bit just during my lifetime.

Yes, it started as literally different sides. But later it started to mean liberal and conservative.

Do you know where the blue and red colors for liberal and conservative in the US came from? Did you know that they reversed the colors about 25 years ago or so? Blue used to be conservative and red was liberal. If I remember right (which I might not) it changed in the late 90s.
