Things have really gotten complicated with the left right divide... When you say right people associate it with fascism and when you say left people associate it with communism or socialism. Even fascism is not totally what people perceive it and it's not the same as Nazism. As in communism you have many variations as in socialism. You have socialism, democratic socialism and social democracy. Social democracy which is what Sweden has or had, I don't follow this internationally too close but in Sweden you have free university and free healthcare for all citizens and a free market but the government regulate the market and make sure the big corporations don't get too powerful and influential like the pharmaceutical industry, Amazon, weapons manufacturing industry, etc... Might be a good model for the US but not to be confused with socialism. People call political systems all kinds of names and brand their parties on them and their ideas 💡 but really they practice different ideas which is why it's all so diverse. The NY and London bankers created communism and dumped it on Russia to do damage and that's what it did do. They commissioned the ideology behind nazism and dumped it on Germany the idea being for the two military giants Germany and Russia to neutralise or weaken one another. But interesting about the comment on monarchy and that was probably the original division. It's like the apparent reason why 20 odd countries drive on the left hand side rather than the right.

Yep. during the transition from Monarchy to Democracy, those who wanted to conserve monarchy were sitting to the Kings right side, while those who wanted to progress to democracy were sitting on the left.
