What was one of the most magical nights of your life?

Probably not what most people would think, but I took my daughter to Walt Disney World in Florida and she got to meet all the princesses at dinner. It was suppose to be a trip that included her mom, but she passed on a couple of years before.

I just remember her face lighting-up and wishing her mom could be there with us.

Birth of my first born

I'd seen snow maybe 2x in my life living in the south, and it was blink and you missed it, but on a visit to my brother's who lived in Kentucky, on the very last night right as we were leaving to go back to our Airbnb, the snow started to fall softly. My parents who were with me, but had lived in Boston, were well versed and hate snow, and brothers mother in law and her family who were also visiting all live in Montana, so none of them were excited, like, at all.

We get back to the Airbnb and its proper dropping down in big clumps of snow at a fast rate. I lost it. I ran outside at like 9pm at night, and I'm like screaming, "IT'S SNOOOOOWWWWWIIIIIINNNNNGGGGGGGG!" I'm running around, touching it, licking it, making snow angels, I'm sending video back home to friends. LIke I might as well have discovered Santa was actually real at that point. The people who were in the airbnb above us, came down, and the lady was like, first time, huh? I was like, ha, how can you tell. My mom eventually came out and she goes, it's perfect isn't it, and I'm like yeah, mom, it really is, and she told me, kiddo, enjoy it, but don't stay out here too long, k, love you. She then took a bunch of photos for me of me playing in the snow before we went inside. Still one of the best nights of my life.

The birth of all of my children - three with my girlfriend. They are the most beautiful miracles I have ever seen, the most beautiful gifts she ever gave me, and I am so glad I was there to see them born.

Also, I have a son with a woman with whom I had a one night stand before I met my current girlfriend. She opted not to tell me at the time that I got her pregnant and was going to raise our son on her own.

She then, as he turned 12, decided that he should know his dad and so she tracked me down and - long story short - introduced me to the son I had not previously known I had. Although I was, an am, heartbroken that I missed his birth and all those years of his childhood, meeting and getting to know him has been a miracle.

To be fair, you asked the most magical night - and of my four children, only my youngest was born at night. So in a strict reading of the question, the night of his birth meets the standard.

However, truth be told, all of them mean so much. Most of all, the girlfriend I have met and loved and had three children with also fills me with joy. The irony is, I met her during the day and the first time we had sex was during the day.

What can I say? I'm a morning person.

The many nights I’ve had in central FL and on the west coast as well… Las Vegas too… when you’re out having a good time, with good people, maybe a drink in hand, and the night is setting in… you have a colorful sunset and you’re in a trendy and vibrant place… it’s a nice feeling.
