Is reddit one of the worst sites ever?

They already favor and even praise people getting revenge on whoever wrongs you, disowning your children if they hide their other parent's affair even if the other parent pressured them to (so basically they view parental love as conditional), talk bad about women too much, harshly criticize people who actually want to forgive and forget, etc.

Seems like it's fun of angry, bitter ''never forgive, forever hold grudges'' people. What's up with that site? Is it one of the worst sites ever?

Yes I had with the ''man discovers wife's affair, daughter knew it and forever disowns her, remarries and has another new family'' stories. A couple of those accounts were canceled because they turned out to be trolls. It's always about the girl siding with the mother to hide the affair, not a child siding with a cheating father nor a guy siding with his cheating mother.

If you can discard your child and act like they ever existed just because they don't act like you wanted them to, you really suck as a parent. If you have conditions for your child, you suck. That's still your child till the very end. Period.

Visit them in prison, make sure they are locked up for life, take them off the inheritance (obviously don't support them financially; you can do that without disowning them) but I'm visiting them. Then I'll probably wonder in the park alone, wondering what went wrong, if I missed some signs, etc.

I was trying to listen to music and other YouTube videos but suddenly these same Reddit stories are showing up too. It's either about an older teenaged daughter or one in her 20's covering up for her mother's affair and the father disowning even after she apologizes or same exact tales of daughters chooses the mother's AP or another man to walk her down the aisle and father disowns her, stops loving her.
Then when it's a father that doesn't ever disowns the daughter but just expresses his disappointment, many people on Reddit and YouTube are nagging/pressuring that man (one that really believes in unconditional love for his child regardless) to disown his daughter, never speak to her ever again.
Personally I believe if you can disown even for that, then your love was conditional. I would still speak to my child even if betrayed.

I wholeheartedly disagree. I think it is an important site that has proved resilient & a champion for free speech. Just because you had a bad experience on there, doesn’t mean the site as a whole, condones revenge — so I’m not sure what you’re asking actually.

Yes. And I don't think encouraging morally questionable actions is what makes it suck so bad, my issue with Reddit is how the website allows very harmful stuff to be posted and doesn't regulate anything. Damn, unfortunately, I've seen photos of crime scenes there without even searching for it, tf?
