My insurance company just asked me and him to fax the information to them.
So is he right or am I?
Fax machines are still being used widely
Thanks for the mho

Well, I think you're both kinda right. There are plenty of businesses that still utilize fax, but it is very few & far between that individuals have or use fax machines. I find when dealing with businesses that mist will give you the option to either fax or email documents.
Some places do. Both colleges I work for still use fax machines. Where I work now we have a Xerox machine that sends documents over email.
in Germany it's the most popular way of sending documents...
Sure, for exact facsimiles of documents when they don't have a scanner to use for e-mail.
Every once in a while I have to use copy/fax machine.
You can buy a flatbed scanner for $80.00
There's no reason to waste paper.
I gave a friend on here three computers, a tablet and a few phones.
That's true. I learned my lesson the hard way. Do you want me to ask on here if people will give you a computer? I will gladly do it. You will probably get hundreds of them. I have four and I only use one.
I don't even know how many phones I have. There were sites where they paid you to watch stupid commercials. I had a bank of about six phones watching the commercials. I made about $200 per month.
You can get a computer for free. If it's old you put Linux on it. It will run on ancient computers.

I really appreciate the offer to get a computer, but honestly I wouldn't have any place to put it.
Now my cellphone 📱 that's a different story. I have one of those free Obama phones that I have had for 3 year's.
It's been giving me a lot of problems for months!
I like Android phone's.
Nothing complicated because I am not very tech savvy.
I don't have the money to get a nice, dependable phone and I am envious of other people that have them because their phones actually do what they want it to do. Mine has a mind of it's own 🙃
What service to you have for your phone?
Most of mine are T-mobile, and it's not clear how that would work on Metro.
It is part of Tmobile
i have a Mac Book Air that is collecting dust.
I paid $1,000 for it. I might give it to a kid for Christmas.
@ApplePie409
I'm sure a child would love that as a Christmas gift.
I used to read the local newspaper and they always had article's about different organizations having a need for things for needy kids. They always touched my heart and I would donate whatever they were requesting and then some.
This one particular drive I was able to talk to the lady in charge. She said she isn't supposed to reveal any information about the recipient of who ended up with my donation but she really liked what I did (not bragging!) so she told me a little bit about the girl.
She was 7 years old and her Mom had just died, so she was living in a homeless shelter with her Dad.
I am so upset that they don't have the local newspaper anymore or I would keep doing things like that.
I often wonder how that little girl is doing now 🤔
They are used by some businesses but very few places still haveca fax machine, you can get software to fax from your computer, but it's largely been replaced by email and file transfer services.
Fax machines are actually a decent way of sending private communication.
I've got one, it was my aunt's but, I've never even seen it in use!
Some businesses still have them, but they’re dated and not used much
@sage2021 It's quite out dated.
I don't use it even it is in my printer
still exists in some workplaces
In some companies it's still 1990.
