What was your personal rock bottom? How did you grow from it?

Right now I am at rock bottom, and I'm still trying to figure out how to get up and stand again.

Now when I'm 28, I have no job. I just came out of 6 years long depression where my depression ate away all my good studies good grades and my time. Have not a single friend by my side. Faimly feels me as burden because I'm eldest daughter among three and me not able to get married is hampering my sister's marriage. So they want to marry me off with anyone. Same time they don't allow the boy who loves me because he is of different caste. Other side boy is unemployed himself and come from poor family.

So situation is I'm having no good degree to get good job also has nobody to help me. And parents want to force me into such married life with the person i don't know anything about neither I know I could adjust with him or not. The boy who I feel could fit me can't protect or provide for me. And time is running very fast. I'm getting older and older sooner.

But still having a hope that I can overcome all this I'm holding myself. And trying to figure out how to get independent and strong myself with the resources I have now, from the situation I'm standing right now.

Being an abandoned child when I was 12. I ended up living with cousins and friends till I was 16 where with some help, I got my first apartment, car and full-time job.

Constantly being told that I was useless as a kid. When I did something good, it was a pat on the back, but it all felt fake. Them being adults, me being a kid, I started to believe the words they said to me over time, and I did think at one point "Are they really better off without me?" "Would it be okay for me to..." and then I snapped out of it.
I got out of it by wanting to prove them wrong, no more accepting anymore of that crap. That was hell, because then it was constant fighting. But I grew more assertive, confident and I live a good life now.
