What happened that made you realize your life had hit rock bottom?

That part of my life has not yet happened. I am still on my way to the top and there is a long way to go until I reach that top. I am not even half way up. I intend to stay on the top for as long as it is possible.

The day when my life hits rock bottom is the day I have passed away. Until then, there is always a way to keep it up. It is called "thinking positively".

Even if you are not top healthy, there is a way to react and if your mind is positive, it helps your body to remain way above rock bottom.

My parents went broke because of COVID so I had to take student loans. I go to a private college out of state so it’s not cheap… then I caught my ex cheating even though I moved states (and colleges) to be with him. Then he took my car and crashed it because of reckless driving while threatening to unalive himself because of the heartbreak. My bank account is in the negatives and I can’t legally work because I’m on a student visa. I can’t afford rent so I had to stay at my ex’s place and basically paying rent by being his house maid. I started breaking up in hives because of all the added stress and my confidence is taking a major hit because of it…

Thankfully somehow, I managed to live through all of that with my dog by my side. I learned a lot about being self sufficient. I still have to deal with the student loans and I no longer have a car but I’m making progress!

When I was fired for something I did not do (the new manager hated me and wanted me gone, I found out about this 2 years later) and I destroyed my job network. I had to start from the bottom, and I am still there, with distrust in the entire human race, especially in today's light.

I got an email from my bank in my 20s informing me that my bank account was being closed. I hadn't realized that if you didn't deposit in any money, each month they were allowed to take out fees just for having below the minimum amount in your account, so literally my last $100 that I thought I was holding on to, was gone. I had literally nothing. I was in a deep depression and had been for months after a break-up and coinciding loss of my job, and official diagnosis of my chronic illness. My cell phone had been shut down, my bank account, everything. Had it not been for my parents, I would have been homeless (the amount of gratitude I have for them looking back is what makes me understand unconditional love) because I was in a very bad way mentally.

I am so sorry that happened to you. Something very similar happened to me. Last year, I had a severe mental health crisis that upended my life. Everything, from my financial well-being, legal standing, and social life completely collapsed. Now, I am just trying to pick up the pieces, and thankfully my mother has been able to help me.

I quit my job because I was super depressed and couldn't find another one and then lost my boyfriend. He knew I was going through a lot and still chose to opt out of the relationship. That was my lowest point.

But now I'm in a job I really like, seeing a guy who I feel is more compatible and I'm just really happy!

@Simslover92 and he didn't even offer to help pay - you know. Say he had stuck around, he should've chipped in : even buying condoms, buying birth control, buying you dinner - keep the pantry and fridge full 🌝🌕
