Ahhh... no I don't have that option anymore. My job requires me to be up early in the morning so staying up late is not really an option for me. Unless I am doing evening surveys to detect owls and nightjars.

That's unfortunate, have that all your life? My job relies on my hearing, so I tend to take precautions, most guys my age already have difficulty hearing.
Most of my life I've lost it when I was a the younger which helped with the thing since I could actually get the surgery for it I originally wanted to do what my family does cuz they're law enforcement but I don't think that's going to happen lol
Not really I really wanted to be a law enforcement officer just cuz the police cars and stuff are cool I mean I'm currently working at 7-Eleven that might be my lifetime job honestly 😂
You're 16, so there's lots of time to figure it out. I am sure you will come across something that you never even thought of is a job/career and change your mind. I wanted to be an Oceanographer when I was your age and ended up being an environmental engineer instead.
I hope I can find something 7-Eleven was even difficult because they didn't know if I could run the cash register but I managed I've been taking speech therapy even though I can't hear myself I'm doing my best to like keep control of my levels
Awesome, my sister-in-law is a speech-language pathologist and she has limited hearing, maybe that's something you could do? Help other children/adults in the same situation.
It’s happened to me before 😂. When listening to some lit music or now recently I have been playing hitman. But usually at 3-4 am I can’t anymore and fall asleep

I tried out Hitman but it's so confusing because they release one game and then they release another game that includes the first game and then they release a third game that includes the first and second game. Released on Xbox because then I have to go through and get every single achievement every single time they do that
Girl no… I stay up but because my body won’t let me sleep. I WANT and NEED to sleep but my brain doesn’t seem to comprehend that. Super fun doing a 9 hour shift on barely 3 hours of sleep
I did that twice in my 20s for fun… I didn’t like it. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my sleep!!

I love my sleep as well the sucky part is when my mother wakes me up because she grabs a bottle of water and like dumps it on me 😹 wakes you up really quickly
Yeah I'm still in school so you're dealing with people like me and I'm dealing with people like you who are trying to make my life actually easier and I just decide to fight it for no reason whatsoever 😂
I'll let you in on a little Insider secret since you're a teacher on the 20th a very popular game DLC comes out if you're a teacher in Canada and on the 25th another thing releases in a game so there might be a small number of absence when taking attendance. Lol
I teach 1st grade 😂… no worries…if the sleep in class tells me parents were not monitoring their 6/7 yr olds. My two teens… they are fine in school so I don’t worry too much. As for you…have fun and as long as you know what you want to do with your life…I’m just here to chit chat from time to time ❤️
Heck yeah I know I have a cochlear implant which you might know what that is with the amount of kids you have handled and I made it so much easier for Everyone by just bringing a notebook it's how I communicate because not everyone knows sign language
A lot of people would think that but it's pretty easy considering the teacher writes everything on the board and I just read the handout that she gives. I love my gym teacher so much though because she knows sign language.
I use my phone mostly, the school also signed me up for some speech therapy so hopefully I'll be able to communicate vocally a bit better my S's and Z's are kind of hard to separate if that makes sense.
Yes I get that 😂… we drilled into our first grader with the difference between the s, s, z sounds lol…English is not the easiest to learn. I am glad you are getting the support from your school.
My hopeful goal is at least when I have the implant on is to not have to use sign language and just be able to talk 😸 thankfully the speech therapist is like patient lol
I'm going to type a type of long paragraph, it's kind of cool but I will answer your question right off the bat with it might take a long time and I'm going to touch about that on the paragraph I'm going to send.
The way I can explain this is the words I'm typing right now makes sense to me well some of them.
Some reason there are a few words that have different meanings. For example the word can has I think two reasons.
Example one: Can you go get that?
Example two: that Can has food in it.
It's really confusing, on top of that learning how to write English is a lot different from.

At the beginning it was harder to hear the words without it written down in front of me because it would be my first time hearing it with the implant. In class it's difficult to use it because it's disorientating I believe is the word. when everything is making noise the person of my right is saying something the person of my left is saying something everyone is saying something. I have no clue which one is the teacher. Lol
I found a good way around that because of the Bluetooth technology that came with my implant. I can let the teacher connect her phone to my transmitter of the implant. I let some of them do this because they will type out the lesson for me and they can use text to speech. They can also use it to communicate with me but I only let the teachers do this. I don't know what my classmates might play or type out or do with the Bluetooth connection.
Reading English and writing it is easy for me. When I first started hearing English words it was weird the best example of this is once again the word can.
I had no clue the word -can. sounded like that.
I think I got a good grasp on words now when I hear them. I'm now at the step where I have to work on pronunciation of words. After that I'm going to be working sentences and saying them in a manner that isn't fast or too slow. Don't know what's after sentences though because I'm not at that point in speaking.
I apologize for the extremely long paragraph but I thought it would just be cool to explain everything to a teacher that actually listens. It would be really nice if some of my teachers would actually like understand like how you do.
I have one teacher that's kind of mean I'm guessing he doesn't realize that I understand what words mean when I hear them now. He calls me stupid and an idiot when he gets frustrated one on one. he has no clue that I know what those words mean now and I'm just waiting until the semester ends on the 30th because in September I'm going to be in a different class again just starting off the next year of my education. 😹
I mentioned this in a previous thing but for me to actually fully get up my mother grabs a water bottle and just dumps it on me 😹 it gets me up but it's so horrible 😹
Indeed it's even worse because during the winter I'll take a shower and I'll just sit there and I'll end up being late lol it's horrible too because it's a uniform so you have to get it set up correctly I'm just coming in looking homeless

Neither do was so long ago I had to go on a bunch of different ones because some medications made it feel like everything was screaming at me thankfully I have the right medications to where I'm normal I guess
That's the thing is I don't think I've ever played Pac-Man I've played the worst games than that so I don't know why it's Pac-Man that I had the nightmare about 😂
that sounds like such a good idea I never played the Baldur's Gate 3 or any of them I think I have watched a moist critical and Angry Joe show video on it it looks amazing
I heard it made so many other developers who don't want to put the effort that they put in so mad it's amazing. Baldur's Gate 3 I think should be like the standard for RPG and other games for storyline and just the amount of care put into a game. I remember when cyberpunk released and it was my first game I ever pre-ordered and that crushed me
Unfortunately for me I made the mistake of having the Xbox One and I played it on that thankfully I have the new generation console now but that was really bad I had the same dream where I just couldn't leave the starting area for like 2 days
