Do you think the 2020s will become a universally not liked decade in the future like the 1930s and 1940s?

The 2020s are probably one of the worst post-war decades ever. COVID, lots of crises happening, lack of monoculture, extreme polarization, etc. The world is still pessimistic. With the election coming up in November, that will determine the fate of the rest of the decade. People are not excited about the election at all. Either we have the same senile old man or we will have a wannabe dictatorship. So, if things go wrong in the second half of the decade, do you think the decade will be a universally hated decade like the 30s and 40s? I honestly see the 2020s as being like the 1930s.

Maybe. But what we are seeing now is a direct result of things that happened in the 2010s, and to a lesser degree in the '00s.

But then, literally everything that happens is the result of events in the past. History is one long chain reaction.

Personally I think the Internet has had a MAJOR negative affect on our world. The impact of the Internet started to really accelerate in the 2010s. Other forms of technology has also had negative consequences, but not as much as the Internet itself. We are seeing the negative affects of that now, and will continue seeing the affects for some time. If it continues, the 2030s may be be even worse.
