Have you read “The woman in me” by Brittney Spears? 😮?

I did last night and am just floored… I read Jeanette Mccurdy’s “I’m glad my mom died” last year. These two real life memoirs are of abuse and struggle by family and society. They are Horrific and deeply touching. But to read about how these highly talented people have both struggled and preserved against seemingly insurmountable odds gives me both a sense of kinship with them and confidence. Having been through my own similar experiences, my soul trembles with both deep emotion at their plight and soars with elation at their strength and perseverance in the road out of Hell.

We can so often forget that others around us share our same worries, anxieties, and feelings. We are all humans and the same inside. We all need to learn to take a step back in our hasty judgments of others and accept and love each other.

The bravery of these two heroines to lay open their soul and risk alienation from their own families and peers in their journey to free their souls is so inspiring to me. To admit their worst mistakes and insecurities to the entire world; to share their deepest struggles and their lowest points, coupled with their long hard roads out of hell, will touch my soul forever.
