Have you ever cried?

The two instances I’ve cried is coming back home from my deployment expecting to hug my golden retriever and the other when I walked into the hospital room my mom was in from recovering from cancer treatment and she looked incredibly pale and couldn’t talk.

I’ve cried quite a lot. My mom was always a crybaby type, and I used to mock her for it but she never made me feel bad for crying, even over something as small as just being frustrated with my job. She was always there with a warm hug, a kiss on the head, and comforting words to know I would always be okay.

I cry a lot more now that I know the science behind it. Did you know that tears fueled by different emotions (happy tears, sad tears, angry tears, etc.) all have different chemical make ups? It’s the chemical compound of that specific emotion in your brain. Crying is when you feel one of those emotional chemicals in such excess that you have to physically get it out of your skull cavity, with the easiest exit being your eyes. Otherwise it’s too much for your brain and body to handle. That’s part of why you always feel better after crying, it was such intense physical exertion of chemicals your body sends waves of endorphins to soothe the stressed body parts.

Many times but the only time where I cried where it really hurt was when my aunt who was more like my sister died. We were so close in age. I was 17 at the time and she was just 24. It rocked me to my core. That cry was something different. I've never cried like that again.

Just ten days ago, an uncle I became very close to died suddenly of a heart attack. I didn't realize how much I really loved and admired him until I got the phone call. His son and I were best friends growing up, so my uncle and I became close. I used to joke about him on here all the time. Now he's gone. Man, I'm gonna miss his phone calls! They always ended the same.

Him: It sure is good to hear from you, Wally! I forgot why you called.

Me: Aaron, I didn't call you, you called me.

Him: I did? What did I want?

Me: You never told me!

Him: Oh, well, if I remember what I wanted, I'll call you back.

for almost 14 months, in college i was not sad... many other feelings frustration accomplishments fear etc.

until my body freaked and made me sad... for no reason! i started crying and felt sad about... nothing! just to use that emotion... i didn't even think of a sad memory! so i cried!

after seeing film inside out , it was like the sad blue one said "i waited too long! i *deserv a turn at the controls"!
