As for me I like to use other people’s money first so I swipe with a credit card that earns rewards & when the bill comes I drive to that bank & hand them a check for the full amount from another bank. I don’t do debit cards.

In addition I do have presidential paper on hand & if I’m on a road trip & the place looks shady like a gas station I pay that way instead.

I don’t carry cash and have not for years, I just pay by debit or a top up card such as Revolut, these are great when you don’t want to risk losing your main bank debit card.

Card is so much easier. If I'm paying with cash, I'm probably trying to commit a murder and don't want to be tracked. Because otherwise, why the hell am I paying in cash?

I prefer to pay by card as it's easier but I prefer to be paid in cash because you don't pay taxes on paper money.

It's not necessarily that I prefer it, but I use debit more than anything else. I'd like to use cash more often, since debit is much too fluid.

i used to prefer cash but since now you can pay with your phone most places, that conveniecne is hard to beat. don't even have to bring a wallet at all anymore.
