Guys, what inspires you to avoid approaching women?

In another Opposite question on here ("What inspires you to approach women?") I wrote this:

The prospect of being charged with a crime (s) or being the target of a false accusation or being "cancelled" or all of the above (yes, that is possible too) is more than enough to deter me.

All of those things strike me as very good reasons to avoid approaching women.

At my local cafe, it would be a lot more awkward if there was a public negative reaction from a girl I approached. So pretty much what you are saying.

That is unfortunate as I am more likely to meet some girl there simply because of the time I spend there. And it has a friendly culture such that you can end up in conversation with a person you have not met before. So it is unfortunate to feel inhibited at approaching a girl I fancy but the social cost is too high now.

At another venue I wouldn't care so much as I could leave and never go back.

I don't think I've ever tried approaching a complete stranger. I approached my current girlfriend, but we already knew each other because we briefly worked together.

I've had women get mad at me just because I was trying to be nice so it would take A LOT to try approaching a woman I don't know.

Men have taken what women have said as in "Go away" and "Leave us alone" at face value and done exactly that, now women are complaining that men are giving the exactly what they said they wanted. Also the attitude/personality of women today doesn't encourage men to be anywhere near women let alone approach/date them.

Just doesn't seem worth it. If she's interested she'll let me know. If she's not, plenty others. My schedule is so busy with work, activities, rescue kittens, don't have time to play FAFO with someone.

It's not necessary. Life has taught me the only reason a guy approaches women is because he wants to give her an ego boost. She will not have the slightest interest. And this is regardless of what he says or does.

On the flipside

If a woman IS interested in you she WILL approach you. And those odds are 100%.

Now just using common sense. Which would you choose.

When I used to approach women, I never got any issues and they were always welcoming. But I still don't approach nowadays and never will. The juice is not worth the squeeze.

I don't avoid approaching women. I don't approach women I don't really find attractive. Girls look at me all the time just as I look at women. That doesn't mean they are approaching me nor I them. Gals in here say that is creepy yet it's not creepy for them to do the same. Many girls get mad because I don't but again they aren't to me either.
