Nowadays, it's seen as creepy and wrong.
That's false.
Elvis and Priscilla got married in early May 1967. He was 32 and she was about to turn 22 later in May.
Their relationship began earlier.

From Priscilla:
"My relationship with Elvis, you know, people go, 'Oh my god, how could this happen?' It was not a sexual relationship, being 14 years old," she told Fox 32 Chicago. "What tioI think really attracted him to me was the fact that, and I've gone over this many times, 'Why me? Why me?' was because I was like the listener. He poured his heart out to me in Germany. He was very, very lonely."

I don't think people really cared one way or the other and it probably wasn't very public until they got married.
The problem with this question is that you are thinking with the mindset of the current world - a world in which privacy is practically nonexistent and we know everything about celebrities.
In the 1960s, there was no Internet or streaming or social media or any of that shit. It was a lot easier to go about in your private life. This was especially so for Elvis when he met Priscilla because they met in Germany while he was in the US Army. Right then and there, that would have made it much more difficult for the (much less prevalent) paparazzi to snoop. And who'd they report to if they could? There was no TMZ back then... And people were different too. We knew where lines should be drawn on personal behavior and public behavior. We minded our own business for the most part, so, whatever Elvis did was Elvis's business as long as he didn't commit any crimes or anything else sensational.
So, in short, I don't think many people cared because most people probably didn't know who Elvis was dating until he actually got married in 1967.
I don't think they gave much of a shit about it after, a few years earlier, his label mate and fellow hay bender, Jerry Lee Lewis married his 13 year old cousin. And, according to her, he abused the shit out of her!!
What the hell, incest with his own cousin being that she was 13 and used to abuse her?
I think the abuse started a few years after they got married. She wrote a book about it after they divorced.

In the 1950s that was acceptable. Currently, in most states and countries, marriage at age 14 would not be legal. However, they might marry in a state where it is legal with parental consent and/or a court order. California is a possibility. If they did get married, initially people may disapprove but most would quickly accept the marriage. Besides, she would not be required to tell people they meet her age or, if asked, she could say she is 18 and people would believe her.
Regardless, if they got married, generally it would not be a problem with people they associate with.
It was seen as creepy back then too, but I doubt it was talked about as often in media when they don’t have a direct line to the voice of their audience like we do today with the internet.

Well the age of consent is 14 in some places in the world even nowadays.
It was perfectly normal in those days. People were working at the age of 12 in those times, it's only now that people don't grow up until they are 30. Most girls I know are having sexual relations of some kind growing up at aroun12 -13.
It resulted in a child and 4 grandchildren, and he is still the love of her life to this day at age 70, almost 50 years after he died, so it didn't work out too badly for her.
That's definitely yucky. He married a child!
Priscilla wore makeup which made her look much older than 14, but if Elvis bedded her at that age, he was a perv who belonged in prison.
Elvis had'em all fooled. They thought he did no wrong.😂
It was creepy but since it was Elvis it was cool.
Different times. Still pedo bullshit
