I was checking out at Safeway this evening. I paid for one item at self checkout with $20 cash. When I went to grab my change, I noticed $60 cash was left behind by someone. I grabbed it and stuffed it in my wallet 🤷‍♂️. What do you think, am I a thief?

You should have returned that money to a local police station with information on where you found it or you should have given it to the local business for them to hold it in case the person came back for the money.

I've given lost money to local police stations myself before and they do hold it for people. If nobody comes back for it they will give the money to you.
