Do you ever dream about people you knew that have unfortunately died?

It happens to me frequently and when I wake and realise they're gone I'm sad and disappointed

I dream in symbols and people I know in real life usually function as symbols in those stories. There was one person I knew who appeared in at least 1 or 2 dreams, and I later learned they died. But they might have been alive when I had those dreams. Since she died the dream might be saying that certain activities lead to calamity or the cessation of life, such as being high minded or snobby and ostentatious.

Sometimes pets that have died. Occasionally humans but I remember the pet ones and feel sad for them more.

Yes, sometimes I dream about my father and I have a recurring dream with a close female friend who was murdered by her husband.
