How much would you be willing to sacrifice for your dream car?

6 years ago, I financed my dream car. I bought the previous model year with low mileage. 2 years ago, I paid the loan off early, but then a month later, I got rear ended and it was totaled.

I was emotional and bought a regular car 2 months later, because I was thinking what’s the point of working hard just to lose what I worked so hard for.

Earlier this week, another opportunity presented itself to get the same car, 3 model years newer, but I’d have to take out another loan and pay at least $200 more a month than for my previous car. The salesmen at the dealership were trying to treat me like I was stupid for walking away.

How much would you be willing to spend on a dream car. Even if not an exact figure, what proportion of your budget? I think no more than 10% per month is okay, but this exceeds 10%.

I can't even afford my dream car lol. But i do drive a $25k mazda i bought brand new. I actually love the car even though it's not my dream car but it still has a fairy decent interior and pretty good road manners. Best of all its paid off and reliable and i plan on driving it until the wheels finally fall off.

I would never spend more than 20% of one year's income on a vehicle. People who make low six live in debt because of stupid decisions in areas like this.

I am not materialistic person. I wouldn't buy a expensive car that's wast of money. I rather spend money on my family members that are in need or widow with children that's needs a financial support.

I am not a fool with money, and there is nothing more foolish than forking out a lot of money on a car.

I can't drive so it would be purely aesthetic unless I could afford a driver but if an opportunity arose and I had the means then I'd buy it in cash
