Even if you had unlimited money, what would be your preferred price performance (best value) car?

It would definitely be a Korean or Japanese car. Those guys' logic is to keep the car's interior simple, use more mechanical components, and focus more on the engine and hybrid systems. They are solid cars. I think Toyota, especially, is even better than Mercedes.

Obviously for price/quality performance, you can’t beat Japanese cars. But as a rich person I would ignore that and go for what I like from BMW, Audi and Mercedes.

My father has a Mercedes. The interior and handling are good, it gets attention. But the old Mercedes were higher quality. Today, it feels like a Peugeot with a star. That "rock solid" vibe is gone. Especially in Turkey, sorry it's not worth buying

It’s all good fun as long as everything works, but parts and repairs cost an arm and a leg. Also, if you can’t prove the service intervals are done by an official service partner, the resale value drops like a rock. Driving Porsche is more like a hobby, I think. 🤔

I like BMW but those cars are over engineered, good as new cars but start to be unreliable when they age. 6 years and they have to go.
There is a reason why Toyota is number 1 in new sold cars in my country. Last two decades car marked was over flooded with German after leasing cars and people realized what crap old VW and Audi are, no one will buy them now.

BMW? 🤮 In my country, people who drive BMW are seen as arrogant, aggressive, and acting like they’re something special, so I don’t like BMW and the man who drives it.

Yes, German group cars tend to have complex electronic systems, which makes failures more likely, and their maintenance is also very expensive, so they’re not worth buying.

I still have my Honda CRV. My mechanic told to just keep it when I asked if I should replace with a BMW. He said no. Don’t get. Lol

i went with a Lexus instead.. hubby is loving all the Lexus we got… but I get bore with cars… so looking fir the next up grade… not sure what’s next…

I'm lately really enjoying the Japanese sedan that's 20+ years old yet not 30+ years old. Direct injection fuel engine - auto - lately it needs a service because in order to start it every single time I have to hit the pedal to the floor before turning the ignition key 🗝️ and starts as if it's a carburettor engine from 1979 🤭🤭🤭👀

@capriVib it's been very surreal and very nostalgic lately. When I grew up, I have memories and experience with a range of engines, all gasoline, from ancient 1970s carburettors, modern carburettors (the late 80s last hurrah) and finally all direct injection engines the last 20 years or so 😜🤣
