For this hypothetical new original Holiday:
Metal / Rock Appreciation Day where we talk about & reflect on the greatest influences and artists of the genre from women to men from differing cultures & styles & artwork & symbolism. You celebrate by reflecting with fellow rockers and pouring one out for the legends we lost also shredding maybe even a lighter tribute. 🍻🍺🥃

Okay…. Now with that out of the way,

If I could add a Federal Holiday: Election Day to allow people to take the time to get out there and make their voices heard especially those juggling with a job & children as a single father and or mother / just someone with a lot of children. That is just my real answer because it matters. ❤️🤍💙

Canada has "Civic Holiday" which is the first Monday in August. They do that so every month has at least 1 3-day weekend. So, I'd consider echoing that. At the same time, I'd also consider making another holiday on the Tuesday following an existing Monday or the Friday before that Monday holiday thus creating an 4-day weekend akin to what Thanksgiving de facto is.

It would be exactly between the Summer solstice and the Autumnal Equinox. It had to be celebrated on that day and not on Monday and people are encouraged to take extra days off to make an extra long weekend. It is to celelabrstw nothing. It is just a day off. You don't have to deal with relatives or going to church, all the stores are open along with bars and restaurants.
