Post-Super Bowl Monday. Everyone’s watching the game, crushing beers, eating heavy, maybe traveling home late night…. we need a day after that to get our bearings here in America, haha
All-in on Nat’l Monocle Day, by the way. I propose the day be spent eating Planter’s peanuts while playing Monopoly.
Lmao
Monocles died out because of the Nazis. The fashion among nazis for wearing them destroyed the monocle's reputation.
I'd go for National Speak a Foreign Language Day, where you have to go the whole day speaking a randomly assigned language.
A holiday of education on how people can protect themselves against the government and organize. In spirit of the revolution and all, costumes of founding fathers and so on included.
@goaded I see many sites showing that quote but I do believe lots of “legendary quotes” are bullshit. “Print the legend”, as Mark Twain said. I actually don’t remember who said that. Lol. That’s how it starts.
I did find this interesting article about a “standing army” argument that is well documented between the founders. We need to keep pushing militia=local cops. Not Joe-Bob and how buddies.

I would have national cat appreciation Day since cats are the most civilized beings I know.
I would bring back the Gunpowder Act in the UK which would make Bonfire Night compulsory so as to stop the under 40s traitors replacing it with Trashoween.
It made it a requirement to celebrate Bonfire Night and for churches to ring their bells. For some reason you can't find anything about it on the internet
Yes of course
He hated Protestants and wanted to replace the Protestant King with a Catholic one. Most people in the UK get it wrong, he did not target politicians, he choose Parliament, because that was the most easiest way to get at the King.
It was foiled by chance hence why we celebrate it. It was planted so that when the King came to Parliament for the state opening it was to be exploded. It would have destroyed the entire building and most probably killed everybody in it.
Not really because he was not a terrorist
It was a terrorist attack
No celebrating the foiling of terrorism.
Us Brits that are patriotic are celebrating the foiling of the terrorist plot
