Trending & News I didn't select an answer because I'd consider it weird by 18. There are plenty of shit cars on FB marketplace for very cheap that you could get with a very light part time job.
There are circumstances where you would total a car under liability insurance, and need some time to get a new one. For me, I've always kept a back-up car to work on and keep running for that possibility since I've been like 19.
Cars are cheap. Cars you really want are expensive. Buy an old police cruiser, you'll be good, they keep them maintained at their yards, and most of them are like 4k or less. You'll just have a bench seat in the back and maybe a crappy paint job.
It depends on what type of community one lives in.
A city dweller may never have need for their own vehicle, although the thought of living in a city is abhorrent to me.
Anywhere else, suburban or rural, one should have their license at 16, with their own vehicle by 18.
If they don't, they're likely being a burden to someone.
Of course, I give exception to those who have valid reasons for not being vehicularly independent.
no age. unless you live in the deep countryside, there's no need to have a car
I try not to judge people because I don’t know their situation.

depends on where they live.
I know people that live in larger cities that can drive, but they do not own a car due to the high costs of parking, insurance, gas etc.
They just use public transportation or uber and they are still money ahead vs owning a car.
It depends. Where I live public transportation is kind of useless, so if someone is 21 and does not at least have a license, it is odd. One great grandmother who died long before I was born grew up in New York and never learned to drive in her 70 years.
Is this leaving out qualifiers like DUI's? I worked with this lady who was in her 30's but she couldn't keep a license because she couldn't lay off the booze. She walked everywhere and if she couldn't because it was too far she slept with guys for rides.
There is no such age. You can easily live without a car in most parts of the world.
Even 25 is pretty late but I know of two people that didn’t drive before 25 even or have a car
If you live in Manhattan then you would never need to drive
It's never weird, some people are just not into driving.
None, I'm medically exempt
It depends where you live tbh. My region? 18
