Would you date a guy who daily drives a car so old it doesn't have a/c?

For the past 4 years the only reliable running vehicle I've had is my 1978 mgb. It didn't come with a/c from the factory and i drive it everywhere. Is this unnatractive?

For what it's worth, my Triumph's heater would start to give some heat after 20 km. It just struggled getting warm. I rode it with the top down in spring, summer and autumn, even sometimes in winter on clear, sunny days. I only had one girlfriend ask me to put the top up during a night time drive.

Cars are supposed to get you from point A to point B. I care more about the experience while driving than comfort.

When you rebuild the motor if you want more heat faster put a mild cam in it and higher compression pistons. More power more fuel milage if you keep your foot out of it and faster heat in the winter

It’s an older vehicle and by the looks of it I can tell he takes good care of it.. that’s a very good thing. I think more positively about this person than anyone in a newer BMW, which chooses an unreliable car just for looks. I can tell a lot about a person by their car.. some people give in to societal pressures, make pretty bad financial choices, are shallow, etc. These things are big time turn offs for me. It’s a nice car too, I’m sure it gets attention.

When a girl says she’s turned off by an old car it’s usually a junker that barely runs, in pitiful shape, smells just as bad

Its not mint but it runs alright, i need to re jet the carb on it cause it runs a little rich at idle but it hasn't given me any problems in the past 8 months. Last thing i had to do was replace the voltage regulator in the alternator and that was about 12 usd
