What is your moral pet peeve?

As an example, my moral pet peeve is cheating. My mother was cheated on and that disloyalty my father showed left a very strong impression upon me of how awful his acts were.

Another example could be a strong aversion to stealing that goes above the normal hatred of theft.

My dad cheated too but at least he had the decency to be ashamed of it & stay out of my life for the years while I hated him.

My mom knew he was a bad partner, but the next guy she picked was even worse, & she & him refused to ever acknowledge anything they do as any worse than just little oops mistakes that I should just "not make a big deal" about.

I can handle someone being a bad person way better if they at least acknowledge what they done. I can even handle someone defending a bad person somewhat. I fucking hate when someone tries to make me believe or act like even tho people who do bad things are bad— this person is an exception! for some bs reason.

For me it is willful hypocrisy and gaslighting. I get more angry about people’s attitudes about their moral mishaps vs the actual mishaps in themselves.

I saw my own mother blow this completely out of the water by how she treated my dad and talked down to my brother and myself. Huge double standards and a prevailing belief that “admitting fault = admitting defeat”.

Prostitution, I’m on the fence about given people have willingly jumped right into nihilism, agnosticism, secular humanism, despair, and/or solipsism.

My moral pet peeve? Definitely dishonesty. Like, there's just no reason to lie, especially when the truth always comes out eventually.
