1 yHalloween is a fun time where you go out at night, watch scary stuff or go to haunted houses or other events. I personally think dressing up it is meant for children to have fun and collect candy. But you can still have lots of creepy fun as an adult. The last few years I haven't done anything, besides watch scary movies. The last time I did something I went to a farm that does a scary corn field maze every year and guys dress up with masks and chase you with loud chainsaws LOL. Just before we left I went with my sister to look at the horses and we were running and my shoe got stuck in the mud and as I was trying to pull it out my foot came out of my shoe and I fell on my back in the mud.. lol all our friends were laughing at me and I had to sit on newspapers on the way home 😂🤣

We have something else regarding dressing up which is called Apokries (not necessarily dressing up as a ghost or something scary though), but it is not on October and there is no trick or treat :(.
But yeah I think it is for everyone who enjoys doing so.21 Reply
Asker1 yApokries? So what do they dress up as in this apokries thing, is it a holiday and if so, is their purpose more important than Halloween cause Halloween basically has no purpose or importance, Mexicans got dia del los muertos which has a much bigger meaning lol

1 yIt is part of tradition for the children to dress up for Trick or Treating, though teenagers go out for Trick or Treating also Halloween Parties too then you have adults who dress up for Halloween Parties.
Heck, we can make an argument for children & teens & adults who dress up in costumes for conventions, roleplay in a group, and for costume parties.
My motto, if it is fun… enjoy it! 🎃🖤🧡💚
Enjoy the Halloween Spooky Season however way you choose 👻

exactly... and that's the great thing about fun, there's not just one way to enjoy this life
me for example... as a kid, I wasn't a fan of 99% candy, lol... but I was glad to eat an orange, I liked those too much, lmao

1 yIt’s for pagans. But as for the heethan pagans and worldly people of the world I would say EVERYONE WHO WABTS TO CAN. However I think the holiday is horrifying. It originally was a holiday that celebrated Death and burn animal and human sacrifices were offered to the “souls of the dead” relatives… in reality they would opening up instant strong holds for demonic spirits. Demonic spirits are parasites they cannot experience anything unless they have a person to experience it through. They don’t have to possess your body, but they can hang around you and live vicariously through your experiences in the holiday mocks and blast themes God that’s why people love it so much I don’t think you should celebrate it. I think when people come to your door, you should tell him about Jesus instead, 🤓

Exactly! What I do is hand out gospel tracts and share the gospel with anyone who is willing. Mostly I get cussed at and stuff thrown at me. :-) excellent!!!
Asker1 yThat's actually pretty cool, sucks you get assaulted but still lol

You do realize things like souls, demons, angels, gods, witches, magic, etc are all fictional right?
Its just cosplay candy day, you are overthinking it.
Asker1 yProof it
- 1 y
Prove*
I don't need to, its already been proven countless times that its all bullshit:
1. Alzhiemer's and dementia prove you need a functioning nervous system to think.
If souls existed, those types of diseases would be impossible, as your mind would be tied to your soul, not your body.
2. If souls existed and were observable in any way, they would outnumber the living more than the highest named number to 1, and we would notice them everywhere all the time, yet no one has evidence of even a single one.
3. Omnipotence is a self contradictory concept do to opposites existing, and creationism is a paradoxical concept do to the idea of a begining to the universe being self contradictory, and thus anything that could be called a god (in the "created everything and is all powerful" sense) cannot exist.
4. Basic observations proves witchcraft or other forms of magic isn't real.
5. Demons and angels existing would require that magic, souls, and a god existed, so those are fictional too.
You tell me to prove it, but the burden of proof lies on the person claiming something exists.
You go ahead and try to prove me wrong. 😂
I really don't understand why people take religious texts seriously. No one takes marvel or dc seriously because that would be dumb, but the bible and other religious stories are just that, stories.
Imagine if people thought toulkien's books were a documentary. 😂
Asker1 yThats not proof thats just you stating your opinion on several topics, the only thing this is evidence of is that you have a hard time with faith and that if it wasn't for other people you'd have a hard time believing in things you can't see like air or several forms of gases, the same scientists that discover this believe that its not logically possible for anything to exist without a creator so why would the universe this same logic exists in be any different, using your own beliefs and logic, I've managed to somewhat have a solid form of evidence to what I believe in, nothing you said disproves the existence of a god, it only shows you are close minded to the existence of a god because let's be foreal, even if they found evidence you'd just say it's not true or that it's fake, just how they found Noah's ark or the many biblical prophecies that have come true like the wars in Israel, the Euphrates river drying up, the very strong and obvious intentions to hide Jesus from the population, there's many others, they found tons of sulfur along with evidence of a civilization that was burned with sulfur, too much biblical accuracy to just ignore unless you choose to do so which at that point it's not lack of evidence it's just denial, personally I'm not going to take advice on what's after death from people that are still alive because I'm sure I don't have to explain why putting all my eggs in one basket with that one can easily backfire, which by the way I don't know if you are aware, your scientists also admitted to finding a new state that isn't dead or alive, they called it a third state, which im almost positive it backs up my point more than yours considering it involves dying cells, I wasn't too interested in it but maybe you might, to me it only sounds like science is starting to catch up to spirituality.
- 1 y
"Thats not proof"
Actually it is, seeing as its deductive reasoning based on evidence.
"thats just you stating your opinion on several topics"
Stating how something is objectively impossible because the concept is a self contradiction, is not an opinion, its a fact.
"the only thing this is evidence of is that you have a hard time with faith"
Faith is for idiots, i'll stick with logic and evidence.
"and that if it wasn't for other people you'd have a hard time believing in things you can't see like air or several forms of gases"
Actually you can see air/gases, so thats just bs.
"the same scientists that discover this believe that its not logically possible for anything to exist without a creator so why would the universe this same logic exists in be any different"
Sorry but scientists pretty much universally agree that creationism is bullshit. The universe is generally regarded as infinite in both time and space, so it had no begining and simply existed everywhere for eternity and stretched on infinitely. (the big bang is just a local expansion event). We know this because nothingness is verifiably impossible.
"using your own beliefs and logic, I've managed to somewhat have a solid form of evidence to what I believe in"
So logic and evidence are not compatible with beliefs, so that sentence makes no sense.
I'm not even goiong to bother responding to the rest of that because you went so far off the route of logic by this point, that you are essentially just making shit up as you go.
Asker1 yAgain, just opinions, responding to everything I say with your own opinions is a weak argument, the universe did have a beginning, what are you talking about, expansion event? Sounds to me like you are projecting the idea of making shit up onto me, nothingness isn't impossible because at some point you were nothingness when you weren't born or didn't exist in the womb, you probably gonna say that the balls copy and pasted cells and you always existed in the balls 😂
Just admit you are full of theories and have no idea what you are yappin about lmao- 1 y
You don't understand the difference between opinions and evidence based deductive reasoning.
An opinion is how you feel about something. It has nothing to do with a debate about what is or isn't fact.
I'm not projecting anything, you literally said a bunch if things that are objectively false. That qualifies as "making shit up".
In fact you did it again, nothingness does not exist, i was a sperm and egg before being conceived, and i was molecules from my mother and father before that, and so on infinitly backwards in many directions because energy cannot be created nor destroyed, only transformed, which is one of several reasons why the universe having a begining is impossible. (another being that creationism itself is a contradiction, because if something needs to be created in order to exist, then how did the first thing manage to exist?, its just a nonsense idea).
Energy/matter always existed, and "empty" space isn't actually empty.
The universe is infinite in size and age, as anything else would require breaking the laws of physics.
Nothingness = complete lack of everything, as in no energy period, no matter, no vacuum, nothing. Its an impossible state for anything to be in.
The local expansion event refers to the big bang, which often gets misinterpreted as the begining of the universe, when in fact it is no more the begining of the universe than a grenade going off, just scaled up to multiple galactic superclusters in size (which is still just a dot in the infinite universe).
Though its not really a classical "explosion". - 1 y
Ominpotence is a contradiction because opposites exist:
Can god create something so heavy, that god can't lift it?
If yes, then god is not omnipotent, do to god's inability to lift it.
If no, then god is still not omnipotent, do to god's inability to create it.
That is a simplified way to explain how opposites mean that in order to have the ability to do one thing, you have to lose the ability to do another.
- 1 y
If a being is not omnipotent, nor the creator of everything, then its unreasonable to call them a god.
The only way it could ever make sense, is if you called the universe itself god, but it won't mean anything other than what universe already means, which is just "everything ever anywhere".
Asker1 yWhatever you gotta tell yourself bud, I have spoken, I can show you a picture of God and you still won't believe it, it's not evidence you look for, athiests refuse to believe, if you wanted evidence then youd be agnostic and you'd take everything I've said with an open mind, what you seek for is the feeling to be right and personally i dont like wasting time with such people, I've given enough points to at least question the existence of a higher power, you are personally stuck in the bias state of refusing to believe and there's a big difference, if you expect me to pull out physical evidence of something spiritual then its only logical you'll never receive that evidence which i know is exactly what you are hoping for, after all im only human, i pointed in the direction you should investigate, if you refuse to investigate only shows the actual issue, which would be your denial and refusal, at this point there's not much I can do, weither you want to find evidence or not all relies on your efforts, not mine, I gain no personal benefit by wasting my time trying to change your mind and that's the truth.
- 1 y
1. There are no pictures of god that aren't just art.
2. The evidence proves creationism and omnipotence are impossible.
3. Agnostics are just people who don't understand the evidence enough to be atheists.
4. What I seek is a sane humanity, where religion and beliefs in general are gone and people are less stupid each generation.
5. you haven't said anything thats actually logical, so you really haven't made any points.
6. Refusing to believe is a positive, beliefs are detrimental to critical thinking/intelligence.
7. You just stated you have no evidence, so your entire argument is dead.
8. You pointed me in no direction to discover any evidence myself, and the evidence I did discover proves religion is bs.
9. You don't need to change my mind, I'm not the one who's incorrect here, you are.
Asker1 yYou aren't understanding my point, reread what I said
- 1 y
There isn't anything there to understand, you made no sense.
Asker1 yWhatever you gotta tell yourself bud
- 1 y
I mean I'm not the one who told me you don't make sense.
Your incoherent responses did that.
Asker1 yIt makes no sense to you, there would be no point in trying to explain it any further.
- 1 y
"It makes no sense to you, there would be no point in trying to explain it any further."
Now there is something I agree with. Furthering an explaination to something that started out as nonsense is indeed pointless.
Of course I don't understand it, there isn't any logic there to be had.
At any rate, since the conversation is over and I made my point, I'm unfollowing this post so I won't see notifications anymore for it.
Asker1 yAll logic was at one point illogical until it was discovered, if you want to remain close minded then that's all you, following it wasn't even necessary, notifications are visible anyways, I'm sure at some point you'll interrupt another of my conversations, until then i guess
1 yam i the only one who forces my husband to take the kids trick or treating dressed up like a strawberry.. with an extra bucket so he can collect me some candy while on the way through? He has done this for many years and when i say i force him thats an exaggeration, as he truly does love it 😂 and gets into it. The kids and i love the candy.
We both like Halloween events like haunted houses, clubs, pubs or night outs, but we also love taking our kids trick or treating and dressing up with them.

Many parents show their support for their children by "getting in the game" with 'em.
Meanwhile, some of us still dress up in Halloween gear or put on Halloween costumes for social gatherings.
All for fun.

lol i def am more shy irl, but i like house parties with people that i already know😅😅 not crazy parties where i don’t know anyone, if i didn’t know everyone already then i would prolly just be a baby😂😅
Asker1 yTowns? Like the small civilizations type of towns? Lol
So this means Valentina barbie would be overwhelmed in a city, so that kinda means you wouldn't be able to protect me even if you wanted too but that's okay cause I don't need it, I can protect the life sized barbie instead
Oh so house parties, now that sounds more like shy barbie face 🤔- 1 y
like i have lived in normal Canadian cities lol, I don't know what a small civilization town is🤔🤔 but i don’t think I've every lived anywhere crazy like miami😲😲
u can protect me i have barely visited the 🇺🇸 before and i have 0 street smarts lol, i would prolly wander off and get myself lost somewhere!!😂😂😅😅
Asker1 yDon't worry I'll follow, cause to be honest, I'm kinda curious where you'd wonder off too, I wanna see where your Valentina brain takes you, I'll just be around just in case, I bet it would take you to the mall 😂

😂🤣😂 ik ur just teasing but a Miami mall actually sounds hypeee!!😅 i bet the malls there are amazinggg🤩🤩 i think that would be a good place to wander off to lol
Asker1 yI was partially joking but part of me knows women love the malls here so shy or not, why wouldn't the Valentina barbie 😂
