What do I do if there's a guy at work who keeps asking me if I bought a new TV he says I should buy a 50 or 55 inch smart tv?

Seems fine if you’re in a bedroom with it and it’s working fine , I have one that is 20 years old and works fine except for the remote not working anymore in the television but it’s in the bedroom and 55 inches diagonal
