Depends. Does he live in that "not a big city"? If so then yeah that is pretty good. If he has a two household income then even better. Why do you care is the question? That's his life and his business. I don't get why you would even know what he makes. People typically don't offer up that information and the type of person that would ask someone that is a jackass. What does it matter what your plumber makes as long as he does a good job and stays in business? I don't see the relevancy of it all. Just be thankful that he does well enough to keep at his job and that he is reliable (assuming he is). Don't worry what others make. He could be perfectly happy with his income and live within his means happily.
