Big centipede bites are painful. Millipedes are harmless, they don't bite or sting.

Put it on a sheet and leave it in a green place. Do not kill it

Millipedes are herbivores; they won't hurt you. It IS a sign that you should probably give your room a thorough cleaning, though.
