This can be anything from an argument, harsh words used or a misunderstanding.

My immediate course of action would be go lie. If that doesn't get the response I want then I need to blame someone else. If that doesn't work I need to fall back on accusing the accuser of having such an unsophisticated understanding that what s/he thinks was bad was actually done to sabe god country and the American way and uhh checked Apple pie and then blame it in the designated hitter rule.

I have no problem admitting my mistakes and apologizing to others once I’ve admitted them to myself first


I don’t, however, tie my self worth to the outcome of the apology or the reparation


People are free to forgive me or hold a grudge against me.
I know that if Im apologizing for something it means that I harbor no ill will and that’s either enough or it isn’t

Personally here’s what I would do:

1) Acknowledge your mistake (s) and take accountability

2) Sincerely apologize - but never beg for forgiveness, just let them know you’ll do better (and actually do better)

3) Take some time to self reflect while you give them space (if necessary), still maintaining communication and transparency

4) Take action and do better

See if there is anyway I can fix the damage. But in my case it's not something that can be easily fixed. It's going to take a lot of rebuilding to get to a point where the damage can be undone. I'm working on it though by just being patient, understanding, and helpful.
