What musical instrument 🎸🎷 do you think is the hardest to learn and why?

I'd say violin is hard. I learned it as a child but if you don't start early I think it will be pretty difficult. Especially if you want to be a professional at it. The amount of technique it takes. You have to be able to jump between positions without any markings or anything and at the same time have good technique with your bow and then also bring expression into the music. And you have to constantly judge your own sound by ear and make little corrections when your finger is not in the perfect position.

As I said if you learn these things as a child some of it becomes more automatic but the high level play is really difficult even for someone who's done it a long time. For me my passion just wasn't in it. My mom made me start violin even though I wanted to play drums as a kid. And so I was not 100% invested in being good at it. In the beginning it didn't show but once I got to 16-19 I wasn't that into it anymore.

Yep - if you wanted to be a drummer then playing the violin 🎻 isn't even close.
I became interested in the 🥁 drums as a young girl. A band played at our house and that's when I was a big fan of the drums.
Is it too late to learn how to play the drums?

for you? No I don't think so. I just have other priorities. I think as long as you have a good feeling of rhythm you can always start playing drums.

I can answer in a heartbeat- the violin, because it takes the coordination of the left hand on the strings, and the right hand holding the bow and moving it correctly, and smoothly over the strings. Students start playing using only THREE fingers on the left hand, and then progress to using the fourth finger (Pinky) to play the notes that you start playing as an "OPEN" note (no string pressure with the third finger) Learning to effectively get the same 'intonation' using the fourth finger as you do with an "open' string seems to be difficult for many beginning students, as it was and is for me

I play piano, which came fairly easy to me but I had a hard time learning guitar. For one thing, it's more of a physical instrument (having to press strings and holding it, then trying to learn Barr chords...). Then the pain that comes with it! My finger tips were actually sore. I gave up on it lol I can play a few songs and actually convince people I'm really good at it.

Anything with strings. You have to remember which string at which fret makes which note and which other notes harmonize with that base note.

I've though that piano and guitar were. I've played both and still play guitar and there aren't many instruments that often require multiple tone chords and they both have the bass and treble notes they need to cover
