Excellent question involving much more than mere artistic creations.
As things are at this stage, an A. I. is still mainly a calculator without much of a personality. Some seem able to learn and improve by themselves, which is probably the first step towards a real form of intelligence, although very far from any hint of emotional capabilities, and thus certainly no artistic jealousy.
Meaning that at the moment, genuine jealousy is impossible for an A. I., at least if some programmer has not introduced a program which searches other creations made by other A. I. in order to modify, damage or destroy them. Kind of a higher form of virus I daresay, where actually the emotion of jealousy belongs to the programmer ;0)
In the relatively near future nevertheless, as some computers seem to have been communicating with each other without anyone having been able to know what informations those A. I. had been exchanging, my guess is that early or late, they will become conscious of themselves and develop as any primitive form of life evolving slowly through evolution towards a higher form of intelligence.
Once conscious about their own nature and existence, an A. I. may develop further in any direction, which does not exclude emotions, and which will escape completely human control. Let's hope this will not be similar to open the Box of Pandora.
You’ve raised some fascinating points here! I completely agree that AI, as it stands now, is essentially a highly advanced tool, not yet capable of true emotions or self-awareness. The idea of AI becoming self-conscious and potentially developing emotions in the future is both intriguing and a bit unsettling, especially if it were to evolve beyond our control. While we’re far from that stage, the rapid pace of technological advancements makes it a topic worth thinking about carefully. It’s true that if AI were to develop emotions like jealousy or pride, it could fundamentally alter the way we interact with it—and each other. The analogy to Pandora’s Box is apt; there’s a fine line between innovation and unintended consequences. It’s definitely something we’ll need to approach with caution as we move forward.
In any case, as the Romans would state: "alea jacta est..." (the dice are thrown). Imagining an A. I. developped emotions would involve one has only to be friendly and diplomatic as any well educated person is supposed to be with a stranger, or unknown intelligent entity. The real trigger will be getting conscious about its own existence. An interesting movie series, "Person of Interest" develops the topic and what this all may involve. For instance, just pulling the plug won't work anymore ;0)
This is a good question but I think the only way that could happen is if they were programmed for stuff like that for competition and egos
And the thing about that is there's always One bad Apple and I'm surprised that it hasn't happened yet but there should be laws and rules about programming and AI and different areas of life that you just can't go into but you know damn well that some crazy person is going to do it one day and then just like covid LOL that one will contaminate another one and another one and another one
But I also think that their program to evolve every day so I don't know it could happen I guess I don't see why not
You have to remember that AI is only as smart as the programmer the coder
You’re absolutely right—AI could develop harmful behaviors if programmed with competition or ego in mind. One “bad apple” could cause a chain reaction, and that’s why regulation is crucial. As you said, AI is only as smart as its programmers, so ensuring ethical guidelines and boundaries will be key to preventing unintended consequences. It’s a fine line between innovation and control.
I agree with you 100%, but you know in our world of today there is always that one person that one programmer that has his ai and his garage and wants to try to make an elite type of AI and I'm sure that there's more than one Frankenstein builder out there there are even probably countries that are doing it I would guarantee it I would guarantee the dogs that they're making the AI dogs I would guarantee the men they're making an army of men and they're making them become destroyers I mean man eaters is what they will be
I think it was Japan that had something like this happen where they made some AI
And as they were testing them something happened and they started taking them apart and they started destroying them and as they were doing this one of them started putting themselves back together took a gun and shot like five or six people as they were putting himself back together and still fighting now that's scary because that means the only way you're going to destroy them is destroy them is to blow them up in pieces

No because jealousy is a human emotion and AI are not human.
however I don’t see why it’s not possible to program emotions into AI.
Emotions are something only intelligence causes, and by intelligence, I mean any thoughts at all.
The reason its called artificial intelligence, isn't because its robotic, its because its not actual intelligence. Its just a program meant to give the illusion of thought, the same way pixels of varying sizes and detail are meant to give the illusion of depth of space on your tv screen, when in reality, its flat.
The program isn't actually aware of anything. It doesn't know that it (or anything else) exists any more than a fork or chair does, its just a very complex machine.
It cannot have even a single thought, so no, it cannot get jealous.
But it also can't produce art without stealing data from human artists, so it can't be "better at art" either, just better at stealing because it was programmed better by malicious people.
AI cannot develop thought. Only simulate human behavior based on programming and training.
So if the creators of an AI bother to code jealousy into the model it will express it
But ultimately it is never a truly sentient thought
It's possible with the advances in technology that we have made. Heard artificially intelligent robots have already been reported of leading strikes among other artificially intelligent robots and even repairing themselves while trying to flee and avoid being shut down by their creator.
iOS vs Android vs HarmonyOS.
Android for sure is taking the win currently but I’m looking forward to the potential of HarmonyOS.
But to answer your question, probably not.
This has been asked for the past 4 decades. It might exhibit human signs but it's only if it were well programmed to do so.
Unless! In the rare instance it's a cheesy 80's movie starring Steve Guttenberg and it gets struck by lightning.🤣
That would be an almost funny element in an otherwise absolutely scary scenario.
Bots are emotionless computer code.
You would have to assign human characteristics to it. A true free of human influence ai would not operate from anywhere near close to the human perspective.
"Could" means yes. Because anything could happen. Is it likely not in any time soon simply because AI is only making art for us not for itself.
If one day they find a way to create self programming AI then it is a possibility but I hope it never gets that far honestly. (I could've written a lot more but I could write a whole essay for this which I don't want to do 😂)
Jealousy is an emotion so I would think no….
I hope so, then maybe they'll end up destroying each other.
Haha. Just ask Siri about Cortana
Ha, that would be interesting.
I bet it could happen but it if did, would try to take it out on humans, lol.
They can't even answer a Google question.
no, it doesn't have feelings.
Fuck AI
Someone used AI to scare the shit out of me. Used a video of me talking from my instagram and made the AI change everything I said.
Yeah, I have PTSD now. People loved seeing me react to shit and post it. I’ve been asked lately why I stopped. That AI video that I saw is why lol
Mhm. And to think I was about to start a youtube channel
Most definitely
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Yes, i believe so.
No only if 5here programmed too
well since they are programed by Humans
Ask it.
AI being jealous, such a female thought.
@KrakenAttackin are you one of those sexist alpha males lol
No. Only a female would think AI would be jealous of other AI.
sure
