What is one rule in your family/household that each family member has to abide to?

For my son (because he is my only family) the one rule we had that should never be broken is to always keep your hands to yourself! And that rule is still in place to this day!!😒

The rule about keeping your hands to yourself wasn't just in the family - It applied outside of the family as well. Like around other kids, kids at daycare and school or on the bus 🚌.

No farting at the dinner table! But, that didn't seem to apply to grandma, though. If she squeaked out a high-pitched one, every dog in the neighborhood would start barking! That was one hell of a granny fanny! Of course, she'd adjust her chair at the same time and try to blame the sound on the leg of the chair squeaking across the linoleum floor. If it smelled, she'd give the dog a dirty look and go, "BAAAAD dog!!!" He'd look at us and go, "That wasn't me!! Does that smell like Alpo?".

We all sit together in our formal dining room and have a hot meal together. We discuss our daily things… any concerns. Meal plans, school/work/ friends/family/finance/sadness we all open up to discuss important/silly/funny things. There is no secret in this family. We clean up, we help. It’s part of our family tradition to love, listen and care for one another.
