I have been very nostalgic lately. I tend to reminisce about the past, which may be unhealthy at times. I was telling my fiance today how time has flown by so fast, it seems difficult to digest.
It blows my mind that many of my peers and even those who I even remember as younger kids are now parents with children of their own. I have mixed feelings. I wouldn't trade my fiance and maturation for a time machine, but I do cherish some great memories and miss those (whether pets or former loved ones) who have passed.
I was watching old episodes of Rugrats tonight and remembered my childhood and the time I got my Rugrats in Paris Soundtrack CD as a kid. I can still recall that soundtrack and miss it. Kids shows were the absolute best in the 90s and 2000s. Children's shows today do not even compare to the magnitude of greatness and creativity like past ones. Hands down.
I will admit that I often look at my past with rose-colored glasses, and I had my fair share of problems in my childhood. Although, I miss the simpleness.

Honestly no but I had kids so young that I kind of hopped right back into being able to do kiddie stuff with them. I just spent half the night playing video games with my kids😌 They also love old things so I'm constantly getting to show them things from my childhood
I think it will be exciting to have kids so I can share my favorite kids shows and be youthful at times. Although, my kids will probably gravitate to newer content like I mostly did. I did like a lot of the old content my parents enjoyed when they were young, but of course, it didn't supercede the shows of my era. It will likely be the same for my kids.
Yeah I think it also depends on the age difference between parents and kids. Like my son is only 18 years younger than me so some things he's into have just be revamped from when I was younger. Like we were playing sims which obviously was crazy popular for a long time back awhile ago. My kids love watching toy story and mulan. All the movies just keep being redone and come back into popularity
Are you 30 or 13? Even at 13, this would be an embarrassment. Seek therapy.
Lol, things have looked up for me over the years. As I said, I wouldn't necessarily trade what I have now to go back. I just miss a lot of things about my youth.
