For those of you who cook, do you clean up while you’re cooking or do you clean up when you’re done eating?

For me, I clean up as I cook. I don’t feel like cleaning up after I eat. 😅 I learned that from my mom. 😊

I'm like you, I clean as I go. I like a clean and orderly work space, and it's easier to do it a little at a time rather than all at the same time. And like you, I want to relax after I eat, not do dishes.

My wife is the complete opposite. Every utensil she used will be still sitting on the counter, and every mess she made will be there too. And it seems she also manages to use every pot and utensil in the kitchen, lol. Her cooking is like a whirlwind. That's why we came to the agreement that whoever cooks will also do the dishes.

I think part of it is that she didn't know how to cook anything when we first started dating. I admire and appreciate that she has been putting in the effort to learn, but she hasn't really hit her stride yet. She'll get there.

First things first, I prefer to rinse off dishes and utensils right after I use them. I find when I leave dirty dishes it's more of a chore (and mess) to clean up afterwards.

I clean up as I go. I also minimize the number of pots, pans and utensils I use so as to avoid a huge mess.

Depends. I like to clean as much as I can as I go through the process because then it’s less overwhelming to clean once completely done
